Night 1: Depart from Hanoi to Ha Giang. Arrival in Ha Giang city is around 3-4 am, where guests will be picked up and taken to a hostel for a shower, rest, and refreshment. At 8:30 am, the journey to Dong Van Karst Plateau begins.

Ha Giang - 8:30 am - Enjoy breakfast before starting the Ha Giang loop journey.

Visit: KM 0 Milestone - Bac Sum Slope - Quan Ba Heaven Gate - Stop to view Doi Mountain and Tam Son Town.

12:30 pm: After crossing Can Ty pass, visit scenic spots, lonely trees, Van Chai cliff, and have lunch in Yen Minh town.

1:30 pm: Continue to Dong Van, visiting Tham Ma pass, Pho Cao village, Sung La valley, Lung Cam cultural village, “Pao’s house”, Tam Giac Mach field, and Moon rock field in Sa Phin village.

4:30 pm: Visit the Vuong family mansion (King of the Hmong people).

Quan Ba Heaven Gate - This unique attraction in Ha Giang is situated 1500m above sea level, serving as the gateway to the majestic rock plateau of Ha Giang.
Lung Cam Cultural - Tourism Village - Nestled in the picturesque Sung La Valley, Lung Cam is a ‘cultural tourist village’ featuring a century-old traditional Hmong house. Once an opium emporium, it was recently featured in a Vietnamese film.
Lung Cam is 25km west of Dong Van. Without personal transport, buses connecting Dong Van and Tam Son can be flagged down.
Pao’s House - Pao’s house, a famous H’Mong residence, was used in the film “Story of Pao.” It retains its ancient charm amidst Dong Van’s rocky plateau. With its cultural and architectural significance, Pao’s House is a must-visit in Ha Giang, Vietnam.
Dinh Vua Meo - Visiting the Vuong family mansion offers insight into the life and culture of the H’Mong people. In the late afternoon, the architectural blend of H’Mong, French, and Chinese cultures can be appreciated.
DONG VAN TOWN – MA PI LENG PASS – NHO QUE RIVER – MAU DUE – DU GIA
Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark - 8:30 am: After breakfast, visit the legendary Happiness Road, Ma Pi Leng Pass, and Nho Que River.
- Check in: Ma Pi Leng monument, Death’s snout, Dinosaur’s spine, and sky path for panoramic views.
- Take a boat on Nho Que River to see Tu San canyon, Southeast Asia’s highest, a natural masterpiece in Ha Giang.
- 12:30 pm: Lunch in Meo Vac Town. Continue to Du Gia, enjoying scenic views and checking in at M pass, Mau Due, and Lung Ho.
- 5:00 pm: Arrive at Du Gia commune, check into a local homestay, enjoy Tay cuisine, and drink corn wine, affectionately called “happy water.”

Meo Vac - 8:30 am: After breakfast, explore the village, swim in Du Gia waterfall, then head back to Ha Giang city.
- Stop to admire and visit scenic spots: Duong Thuong valley, Lung Tam weaving village.
- Lunch in Tam Son town - Quan Ba, returning to Ha Giang city by 5:00 pm, with time to shower and rest at the hostel before taking the sleeping bus back to Hanoi.
Thâm Luông Waterfall - Visit Du Gia Waterfall: 5 kilometers from town, a small waterfall with inviting pools for swimming. The road is rough but rewarding, with stunning scenery along the short walk to the pools.
Lung Tam village - Known for its traditional Hmong brocade weaving, Lung Tam village on Dong Van plateau, Ha Giang province, attracts visitors with its unique weaving process and favored brocade products.
