With a history spanning nearly 1500 years, it is considered the oldest pagoda in Thang Long - Hanoi. During the Ly and Tran dynasties, it served as the Buddhist center of Thang Long citadel.
- Ba Dinh Square - The heart of Ba Dinh district or Ho Chi Minh complex, this political center is the “brain” of Vietnam, covering over 20 hectares. It includes administrative buildings of ministries and branches, the central office of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the government building, and the Presidential Palace, where Vietnam’s head of state meets with international leaders. Ba Dinh Square is a heritage site where President Ho Chi Minh declared Vietnam’s independence on September 2, 1945. Nearby is the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, his final resting place. To the left is the National Assembly building, opposite Ba Dinh Square. At the end of Doc Lap Street (Independence Street) is the former French building, now the Ministry of Foreign Affairs headquarters.
- The Flag Tower Of Hanoi (Cột Cờ Hà Nội) - The Flag Tower of Hanoi, a city symbol and part of the Hanoi Citadel, a World Heritage Site, stands at 33.4 m (41 m with the flag). Built between 1805 and 1812 during the Nguyen dynasty as an observation post, it survived the French invasion (1896-1897) and served as a military post. It is now part of the Vietnam Military History Museum.

Today, it is Hanoi’s largest covered market, offering both wholesale and retail options, with traders selling everything from clothing and household goods to food.
