A Must-Do Experience in Hanoi for Photography Lovers - I visited Hanoi for the first time in January 2024 and had the pleasure of meeting Nguyen. We spent time walking around the city, and he shared invaluable tips on using my phone camera more effectively for street and other styles of photography. Nguyen was incredibly professional, yet warm and approachable—it felt more like catching up with an old friend than meeting someone new. If you’re in Hanoi and looking for something unique to do, I can’t recommend this experience enough. Nguyen is a true professional who ensures you have a great time while learning a lot along the way.

Best experience ever! - Nguyen was an inspiration,I haven't tried my hobby of photography for some time,but he was so patient, inspirational,lots of good advise and took me to some of the most beautiful places to practice,what a day,I will never forget!!

Street photography in Hanoi - If you love photography and people, this Photowalk with Nguyen Mai Huy in Hanoi is an absolute “MUST “📸! Mai Huy is not only a fantastic photographer but also a truly wonderful person. I spent some incredibly valuable and enjoyable hours, where I had the chance to observe and experience the streets of Hanoi from new perspective and capture some nice moments!
It didn’t matter, if you’re an experienced photographer or an amateur like me— you’re guaranteed to have a fantastic time!!!👌Mai Huy not only knows a lot about photography, he also took me to hidden streets and corners of the city that an average tourist would probably never find, and that would be a missed opportunity!
If I ever find myself in Hanoi again, I’ll definitely do this photo tour again!📸🤍👌

The best photo walk in Hanoi - We started with some hot local Tea, discussing the expectations for the day, where we planned to go and what I’d like to see. We also went through experience levels, it was great to swap and discuss ideas, techniques and other artists who inspire us. After that, we set off in search of some images. Making the best of the difficult lighting conditions that day. After our time in the Old Quarter, we had another break for Tea, then went deeper into the backstreet markets, well away from the tourists. It was great to see local life unfolding and capturing those genuine moments in time. Nguyen, was very attentive, and after confirming that I still had the energy, we continued long after the official tour was over (he had some free time that day) After a great morning, we stopped for coffee and to discuss what we had seen and taken, we both had mutual respect for each others work and techniques. Regardless of your skill level, I really recommend getting out and about with Nguyen whilst you’re in Hanoi, it’s a fantastic experience at a very reasonable price. You will not be disappointed!!!

Fantastic Photography Tour In Hanoi - Wonderful tour with Nguyen. We took a few minutes to talk about photographic interests while sipping tea. Then we were off on a stroll down quiet corners and bustling areas. Though not new to photography, I have not fully become accustomed to my mirrorless camera, Nguyen gave me some pointers to make use easier. It was wonderful to explore areas where I might not had ventured as a foreign visitor. Nguyen also advised that a choose to focus on a photographic element to help center my thoughts on what to shoot. That was a game changer! I highly recommend this tour. I am proud of the pics I took on this tour. I owe this to Nguyen!

It's a MUST if you visit Hanoi! - One of the highlights of my vacation and a must do for everyone visiting Hanoi. It was a real joy! Nguyen answered all my photography questions concerning (street) photography. This combined with the best possible locations and (if needed) help with composition. Tour was booked October 31st 2024

A wonderful way to see Hanoi - My guide Lily, had a wonderfully relaxed way about her. We shared our different photography experiences and techniques with each other an in doing so was able to take on some of her knowledge when it came to looking for scenes or compositions that tell a story. I was taken through the local streets of the Old Quarter and the local markets which, some of which I know I wouldn't have ventured into without having been shown. It was a worthwhile experience and one I would recommend anyone do.
