Traveled to many street food restaurants all around the old quarter with gluten free options - Alex is an amazing tour guide. He taught us so much about Hanoi street food and Vietnamese culture/history. Alex tailored every stop to our dietary needs (gluten free and no onion/garlic). We booked the gluten free tour through his Nom Nom website. If you want a gluten free and stress free food experience, Alex is a must! He was the best part of the time spent in Hanoi. His English is amazing.

Fantastic Gluten-free Food Tour - We had a great evening with Alex and he was able to accommodate my gluten allergy no problem at all. We enjoyed so many wonderful food selections and were able to eat at many small local places that we wouldn’t have on our own. We had the most unique dessert we’ve ever tasted! There were lots of choices for gluten eaters as well. 😀 Alex shared so much information about Vietnamese history and culture during our conversations while we enjoyed the delicious food.

Alex our tour guide was awesome, tailored the tour to find food we hadn’t already had and gave such interesting information about Vietnamese food and the role it plays in their culture. Although Vietnam is great for GF/celiac this tour gave me so many other options I would never have thought I could eat. Alex’s motto is “the tour ends when you’re full”. He also took us to some other places for the gluten eating amongst our group. Great tour, great guide. 100% recommend.

Nomnom made Nom amazing - First and foremost, let me emphasize that I hail from New York and have exceptionally high standards when it comes to travel and tours. We had the pleasure of embarking on three tours with this Nomnom, and each one was an absolute delight. Our food tour with Alex was nothing short of incredible. He is an expert in Hanoi’s culinary heritage and history, and his passion for the city’s food was evident in every dish he introduced us to. Alex ensured that we had an unforgettable time exploring the city’s food scene. Without him, we would have missed out on the opportunity to savor such delectable dishes and gain a deeper appreciation for Hanoi’s culinary traditions. During our craft village tour with Vu, we had a truly unique and enriching experience. Vu took us to a local couple’s home, allowing us to glimpse into their daily lives. We even got to try our hand at crafting lacquer items, which was a fun and hands-on activity. The highlight of the tour was visiting an artist studio, where we were amazed by the intricate details and craftsmanship displayed. The incense village is magical! We also had lunch at a hat maker’s home, where the food was not only delicious but also felt like a delightful afternoon spent with an old friend. Vu is a truly remarkable individual. He possesses a combination of intelligence, humor, and a genuine enjoyment of life. Our experience with him was nothing short of amazing, and we are already looking forward to our next adventure with this local gem. So book with Nomnom because the experience is once in a lifetime!

Foot Tour Review 😊 - The private food tour was an absolutely amazing experience, Alex picked us up from our hotel and told us we would be eating until we were completely full and he was 100% right, he took us to 5-6 different spots and then 2 different dessert spots and catered to our gluten free needs, but the highlight was how friendly and nice Alex was! This didn’t feel like we were customers or that he was a host, it just felt like a friend taking you out and showing you great food spots. Could not recommend this tour or Alex any higher, he was an awesome guide and an even better person. Myself and my wife spent 3 weeks travelling through Vietnam and the food tour was one of the highlights. Alex was awesome! 10/10 stars.
