Vietnam between the old and the new - After traveling to Cambodia in 2023, we again relied (mother-daughter) on Asiatica Travel for a trip to Vietnam given the excellent previous experience; everything went well, car tour with driver and guide , hotel air flights ; Thanks to Thao, our consultant we got to know and to our three guides who did everything possible along our journey to introduce us to their land and their people; a special greeting to Mr. My , a man who knows everything about the past, the present and perhaps even the future...

A well-organised and unforgettable Vietnam trip with Asiatica Travel and a big thanks to Larissa’s outstanding planning. - We had an amazing experience exploring Vietnam, all thanks to Asiatica Travel and our wonderful tour organiser Larissa. The entire trip was well thought out, smooth, and enjoyable from start to finish. A special thank you to Larissa for her professionalism, care, and attention to detail throughout the planning process. She was incredibly responsive and made sure everything was arranged perfectly for our family. One of the highlights was the excellent cruise selection for Halong Bay – it was absolutely breathtaking and truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We felt well taken care of the entire time, and the tour ran seamlessly. If you're planning a trip to Vietnam, we highly recommend Asiatica Travel – and be sure to ask for Larissa. Her passion and dedication made all the difference for us!

Tips to make your journey easy - Tips I wish I knew before we left home... : Money exchange 💱 is daunting 😩 : In small ziplock bags.. separate the money notes ( millions of them 🙄 $1 $20,$50 etc Write on bag the note equivalent in your currency. eg $1 USD = 26,000 dong : Toilet stop charges When traveling on bus or car or limos transport. The convince stops to use toilets, there is a charge!. Have your money ready to give to the person at the toilet entrance, you will get toilet paper and soap ! Tipping Speak to your travel agent about the tipping expectancy for bag service, table service, tour service etc.... Translate app I haven't worked out his to use this yet... But.. Very very handy, most places including Hotels, Spa , restaurants.. English speaking is very limited ! : Always carry back pack with essentials Water, money, address of your Hotel, contact number of your Agent. Reviews Far more valuable then a ' thanks' or tip! Good, bad and orther wise.. Write in ... Help others ! Most of us, I think would have worked and saved up for a trip of a lifetime... Make every moment count. Read the reviews from US the real people 😉 Enjoy your travels... Learn to slow down and enjoy your surroundings, rest up, relax, Be kind 🙏🥰

Maravilloso - It has been a wonderful experience totally recommended, if you are thinking of making a tailor-made trip exclusively for you accompanied by chauffeur guides and agency staff ( Silvia ) do not hesitate to do it with this agency The guides and drivers all great, perfect Spanish and good explanations of each place Silvia pending at all times We had free time in each place which gave you room to be on your own Surely recommended, if we go back to any country where they work we will also definitely do it with them

Speechless - It's hard to write this review because it was such a beautiful experience that I don't want to mess anything up in the writing of it. From start to finish, the staff provided a seamless experience. My favorite thing about Stellar is the staff and that the boat has only 22 rooms keeping the journey very personal. MAJOR THANK YOU to our butler Boo! (Everyone gets one!) And the manager Tin! The kindest, most accommodating people we've come across in Vietnam. They made the trip 100% even more amazing. Tin is a jack of all trades with a heart of gold, hopefully he sings for you during the bbq. The itinerary was plentiful but the boat is also so beautiful and serene that it's ok to not do any activities bc you are surrounded by the beauty of Ha Long Bay. Our first night was in the executive suite and it really is gorgeous. Laying on the day beds on the balcony was our favorite. We did the 2 night, 3 day cruise and we honestly felt like we could have done 1 more day. Our second night was in the senior suite bc 2 nights was not avail in the executive suite and it was very nice...but if you can do the executive...please do! All the meals were truly wonderful. They keep the food coming. The meal during the Cat Ba island tour was superb! We loved seeing the small beach on Cat Ba. Everything was timed nicely. We met some great people on board too. You are in luck if you are booking now bc they've just added a satellite so you will have good wifi all day and all night. Book this cruise, you will not regret it. I was teary eyed arriving to the boat and teary eyed leaving it. No pictures I provide will do the experience justice, just GO. I would love to go back one day. Thank you from Adriana and Cody xoxoxo.

Not up to a 5 star rating - If Halong Bay is really a must, I don’t think Regina Grand deserves a 5-star rating. The room we had was large with a beautiful balcony and comfortable bedding but it was far from perfect: one of the windows did not have a curtain which is all the more embarrassing because the boats all stop at the same place at night and so you get their lights... In the bathroom, the ventilation / air conditioning system was very dirty and noisy. As soon as it was in operation, it gave off a smell of sewage. And from a comfort point of view, only one towel per person and no floor mat. The bathtub seemed friendly but its faucet did not work. On the food side, apart from the breakfast buffet which was good, the rest was not up to standard. Sailing time is very expensive, only on the 1st day. The next day we were parked in with all the other boats waiting for the shuttle back. So yes, you must definitely see Halong Bay, but the services of this boat do not deserve a 5 star rating

Definitely not worth the money - Let's start with the transfer to the boat, we had to travel an hour on a small boat, which is in a deplorable condition. More than 60 people in such a boat was not the most pleasant experience. From the moment you arrive, you can't relax, they always have something to announce, you can't go to your room and have 30 minutes of relaxation after a 4-hour journey (3 hours from Hanoi and an hour by boat), you don't even have where to go to wash your hands, you all have to go to the restaurant, so that they have 30 minutes to announce the program and we can all eat. Then you go to the room and again the announcements - that you have to go with the kayak if you want, if not, stay on the boat, only that the boat also remains anchored. And this continues. Everything is in a hurry, a lot in the program for 20 hours spent on the ship. The surprise of the evening, there was no hot water, probably they missed this announcement:) We only got hot water in the morning. The staff doesn't really speak English, very poorly, with the exception of the guide, even if there were only tourists from outside the country on the boat In addition, even if they see you eating and your mouth is full, they come to ask you something…. Low quality food I don't know when the room was the last time cleaned, if you drop something on the floor, especially in the bathroom, you see all the dust collected for years, so you even don't want to pick up that object from that dirty floor. The recommendation is that if you find a private boat for a day, and manage to catch the sunset, then it's worth the money, you can relax and you don't have to do everything at a fixed time and if it's not "happy hour" you don't have anywhere to serve the coffee, which by the way is quite expensive for Vietnamese prices. ooo, and something positive at the end: Halong Bay is fantastic, but it is not the merit of the boat, maybe only the balcony is an exception, from where you can see the view

Disappointing - I have heard and read so much about a cruise along Halong Bay. I can tell you it is not worth the money and effort. It is a beautiful place that is spoiled by diesel fuel, trash in the water and overuse. The boat we were on is part of the the La Regina, which I thought was one boat, but there are MANY by the same name. The service was bad, the rooms on the boat were poor, and the food was just so-so. I think this is what comes of too many people wanting to see the same thing. It was cheesy.
