Mai Chau - 13:30 – Hop on a bike and pedal along narrow village paths, passing through lush rice paddies, serene countryside, and traditional stilt homes. The peaceful scenery and friendly smiles of local villagers make this ride truly memorable. Stop at Chieng Chau ferry wharf for a gentle boat ride along a calm stream. Drift past green landscapes and experience the quiet beauty of the valley from a new perspective.

14:30 – Continue cycling to Pom Coong and Na Phon villages, home to the White Thai ethnic minority group. Witness their rich cultural traditions through architecture, daily activities, and the artistry of their handmade fabrics. Chat with locals and gain insight into religious beliefs, folklore, and the deep-rooted heritage that defines life in Mai Chau.

16:00 – As the sun begins to set, relax in the vehicle and enjoy the scenic drive back to Hanoi, arriving in the early evening.

Mai Chau is a popular destination in Vietnam, we will still give you the chance to visit the main tourist sight but stay overnight in a more rural village. You will go on a trek to visit other villages where you may be the only tourist in the whole area.

Another new famous site in Northern Vietnam is Pu Luong Nature Reserve – a village home of the White Thai, Black Thai, and Muong Ethnic Minority communities. The scenery is well-known for large rice terraces and floating clouds like Sapa but much less touristic. This is a great location for hiking and hard trek through the forest and experience the simple life.
