- 3GH9+44 Game Creek - Join a picturesque drive and freshwater fishing adventure in the stunning Hoonah. This area is teeming with wildlife, so have your cameras ready for possible sightings. Brown bears, bald eagles, Sitka blacktail deer, ducks, geese, and more are frequently seen throughout Southeast Alaska’s rainforest.
Each participant receives their own rod & reel, along with wading gear, and is expertly guided to enjoy an unforgettable Alaskan wilderness experience. After a scenic drive and a brief hike, you will reach the salmon spawning grounds.
As with all things in Alaska’s wilderness, fish runs are wild and seasonal. Dolly Varden Char and Cutthroat Trout are present throughout the summer. Pink and Chum Salmon run from late June through September, while Silver Salmon are available from late August through October.
The island boasts the world’s densest population of brown bears. Although bear sightings are not guaranteed, close encounters with brown bears are common. Rest assured, your guide has extensive experience living alongside the island’s wildlife, and guest safety is the top priority.
