Awesome marine life & tour! - Wow! What a wonderful tour! We saw humpback whales, orcas, sea lions, eagles, and more. Plus the scenery is beautiful and amazing. We learned from the knowledgeable crew too. I highly recommend this tour. Plus they have a fantastic gift shop so you can shop local.

Hoonah Whale watching was amazing! - Captain Paul and Patrick were great! We saw multiple humpbacks diving and bubble feeding - you could hear the whales bellowing! We also saw seals and a few sea otters. Sun cam out and made it great for viewing! Definitely worth it for the memories!

Must do tour! - Great experience! Paul amazing. He was so knowledgeable and a great story teller. Loved all his gorier. And even more the personal pictures. We got to see see breaching humpbacks and orcas. Orcas!!!
Patrick also so sweet and on point on spotting the diving whales. A must tour!!

Best Whale Watching ever - Beat experience ever! Booked for excursion while on cruise and made it back in plenty of time and saw orcas, whales, sea lions and otters! Captain Denise is very knowledgeable and has great stories!

Amazing whale watching tour— so many whales and great guide - On a cruise but booked independently. Pick up was easy, found our tour without difficulty. On the boat with ~20-30 people, Paul & Patrick were very informative, took us to great viewing locations. SO many whales- got great video. Paul gave info on local wildlife and culture, he was a wealth of info. Would do this again without hesitation.

Amazing Whale Watching Adventure - This tour was amazing, the highlight of our land tour after our Alaska cruise. We were a group of four in our 60s and 70s. Our captain, Denise Gray, a native of the area was extremely personable and knowledgeable. She knew where the whales were and provided us with an experience that we will remember forever. We even got to see a full breach right beside the boat. We were so glad we were on a vessel with a small group rather that some of the others we observed with close to a hundred people packed like sardines. This excursion was not cheap, but it was well worth the money in our opinions.

We saw humpbacks - We were able to see many humpbacks from a distance. It was very cool. We also saw a few sea otthers and maybe a sea lion. The boat was comfortable and the captain knew where to go to find whales. I deducted two stars because Captain Paul was really irritating to be around. He did share some good nature facts but mostly he never stopped talking about himself and his superiority the whole time. The capper was when he used the R-slur. While he knows what he is doing as a boat captain, he needs to improve on interpersonal skills.

Great Trip. Crazy Captain - First of all the boat is safe and captain Paul and his mate were capable and knowledgeable. We saw the whales from a distance. Other boats were up there closer but maybe our group was being more respectful. Honestly everything was fine except the Captain just would not shut up. From the moment we got there until we left was a non stop self aggrandizement speech from the caption. He he smarter than National Geographic. Seemed to have a grudge against academics in general, and even was angry about having to share the water with otters. He also seemed to go out of the way to graphically described whales and bear violence in front of very young kids.
I understand that nature is violent but there is no reason to tell a kindergarten kid that if you are attacked by a bear it’s a good idea to shoot your dog and let the bear eat the dog while you escape.
There are lots of options and no reason to settle for an egomaniac Captain.
