Alona was an absolutely... - Alona was an absolutely wonderful guide. Her knowledge of the wildlife and her passion for her culture made for a great experience. Even though we did not see any Orcas, we saw a mother humpback whale and her calf playing in the water. We also saw sea otters, sea lions, and puffins. A great excursion.

What a rush! - Wow. We had a great time. The boats were designed for whale watching. Front and back outdoor spaces and all the snows inside open when needed. I think we had up to 24 people. The perfect size. Our captains were great one captain and I’m so sorry I remember her name, was going to get her own boat the next week. The native of the area who had just finished her captain schooling (I forget what it’s called). We saw lots of whales and some other sea life. They were so intuitive and knew just where to take us. We saw an amazing breach, which was a fabulous icing on the cake for the day. Prompt, timely, courteous, informative. Everything you would want. I highly recommend this tour/

10/10 - We loved our tour and even saw whales breaching! The staff was great! Meeting point was super easy (take the green tram from where NCL docks). It was the highlight of our cruise!

Great authentic adventure in pristine outdoor wilderness! - Clear meeting instructions. Easy access. Great tour and experience. Inside bench seats for inclement weather. Side windows swung open for viewing and photos. Not crowded. Comfortable. While we experienced the whale watching before optimal viewing season, we did see whales, otters and a bear from our boat. Boats are not large, so its a small group experience; much better than cruiseline booking which uses larger boats.

Incredible Whale Watching Experience! - I had an amazing time with Icy Strait Whale Adventures. We were fortunate enough to see between 10–15 humpback whales and even spotted a few playful porpoises during our tour! Our captain was skilled, knowledgeable, and did a fantastic job locating whale activity throughout the excursion. As a photographer, I was initially concerned I wouldn’t be able to get clean shots without glass in front of me, especially after seeing pictures of the enclosed boat. However, I was pleasantly surprised — while the windows stayed closed during transit to keep everyone warm and comfortable, the crew made a point to open them every time we stopped. I was also invited to step out onto the front and back viewing areas, which gave me perfect, unobstructed views for photography. This tour struck the perfect balance between comfort and access to incredible wildlife viewing. Highly recommend for photographers, nature lovers, or anyone looking for an unforgettable Alaskan experience!

Even with very rainy... - Even with very rainy weather, this was a great trip. Allana and Capt'n Bob were great. We had much fun! Allana's personal touches were great. We learned a lot from her. Bob was very conscious of everyone's comfort and safety and told some great stories while he was at it.

Great time seeing wildlife! - Captain Bob and Alana were nice and informative. They tried their hardest to get us to view the wild life. We were too early for orcas, but got to see a humpback whale, sea lions, otters, and a bear! Alana shared with us about her heritage and was a fun and informative tour. Would recommend!

First Rate First Mate! - 22 adults fit on the boat benches along the sides. Windows open completely for viewing. Bathroom on board but plan ahead. The deck hand just got her credentials and shared driving with Bob and they took turns spotting and driving. I think the young womans name was Alana (not sure of the spelling) and she added a narration of a lot of the culture and information of the area. It just would not have been the same without the culture info. Highly recommend. Might not be great for kids as the front and back have outdoor viewing areas that are not ideal for active kids to be in. Overall a great morning on the water

They wouldn’t let us go! - I hate to leave a bad review but I cannot rate this experience accurately because we didn’t get to go! I booked and paid well in advance, planning and saving for our once in a lifetime trip to Alaska. Standing in pouring rain in Icy Straight Point ready for our adventure and they didn’t have our names on the manifest so they wouldn’t let us go!! This was their mistake and we were absolutely devastated. Hoping to at least get refund although that doesn’t do anything for the loss of the experience.
