First Class Whale Watching in Husavik - We did the whale and puffin watching tour. Everything about the trip - from check-in to returning to the harbour was amazing. It was just the right length and we saw plenty; Harbour Porpoises, Humpback Whale and Northern Bottlenose Whales. The guide and staff were all very knowledgeable and helpful. The weather was good, the sea state was very calm and the views wonderful. One thing I would say is; if you're visiting other Puffin Colonies around Iceland by car (e.g. Borgfjodur Eystri, Dyrholaey etc.) I'd possibly recommended skipping the "& Puffins" tour and just stick to the whales. The tour 100% delivers Puffins to you, but those places you go to on foot enable far closer views.

The guides were fantastic... - The guides were fantastic and very knowledgeable. We saw several humpback whales on our June tour!!!

Stunning Húsavík - What a fantastic time spent in Húsavík. Stunning scenery, stunning wildlife, stunning weather, stunning personnel. A great adventure and I will be back to see the puffins next year.

Must do - We had an excellent experience with many whales. Big compliment for guide Laura and her explanations. Nice ship with good access to both sides.

nearly perfect - There were five of us on the Nattfari with around 30 other people on a whale watching trip. Our guides were Christian and Kaja, both very relaxed, helpful and open. Before we got on the ship, we all put on thick overalls. Underneath we had warm underwear, sweaters, fleece sweaters, snow pants and winter jackets and that was a good thing. There are toilets on board, but we didn't use them (it would have taken me ages to get dressed and undressed). Before you put on the warm overalls on land, there are lots of toilets that you should use. Christian told us a lot about the area while we were sailing out. The sea was choppier than I had thought, we only had wind force 4, but there were still a lot of waves. Unfortunately we didn't see any whales, but we learned a lot about the area and the islands. We were able to get our entry ticket stamped and can now make a second attempt to see whales at North Sailing for free at some point.

Unique experience! - Excellent, informative narrative accompanying the whale watching tour. Kudos to the commentator who blended scientific information with a strong conservationalist message in a highly effective manner. The breaching whale was unexpected, as was the quality of the commentary. Well done!

Beautiful Húsavik - We booked this tour a couple of days in advance as we saw the weather was good. We had a lovely afternoon on the water, we saw dolphins, flying puffins and at least 5 humpback whales. We saw the whales from quite a distance, the company was very respectful and did not try to get too close or hound the whales unlike the rib boats. Very good informative guide and nice warm hot chocolate on the way back. Our teens throughly enjoyed it as did the adults. Do the whale museam after, they give you a 20% discount voucher.

Nice crew but shy whales - The crew was very kind, helpful and professional. Unfortunately we were not very lucky. Whales were shy that day. Thank for the experience
