Flavors of Budapest cooking class - The class was so much fun. Very informative and hands on. The pace of the class was perfect. The end result was tasty food and delicious wine. A great time was had and Marti was wonderful and friendly. I highly recommend attending the class. Don't eat before you go, there will be plenty of yummy food prepared by you. Planning on making these at home. This excursion was part of our Viking cruise. Trust me you will love it. Thank you.

Langos Street Food - My husband and I attended the Langos cooking class as an excursion on our Viking River cruise. I wasn’t sure what to expect but we both had a great time. Very hands on from mixing the ingredients to frying to eating the delicious final product. Marti is a great teacher; very knowledgeable and patient. This class was one of the highlights to our time in Budapest.

Good time making lingos - We had a great time cooking with Marti. We were only two in the class so it was very private and fun. I want to return for her strudel class

Greatest Langos Cooking Class Ever! - I had the distinct pleasure of attending Marti’s Langos Making Class recently while in Budapest. Viking River Cruise offered this amazing and fun class as an optional tour and I jumped at the chance. Marti is extremely well organized and put me right to work, which is the only way to learn in my view. She explained each step clearly and in perfect English. Her sense of humor and her patience at my stretching the dough in a “circle” (any shape but a circle) caused a lot of laughter and encouragement on her part and groaning on mine. Her recipes are concise and am anxious to begin making my favorite Hungarian street food. I only wish I could take all of Marti’s cooking classes. She is a great teacher

A wonderful experience.! - Marti's cooking class was an optional excursion on our Viking Danube river cruise. Debbie and I were the only takers out of 107 passengers. Our expectations were exceeded. We've taken 2 previous cooking classes on Viking Ocean cruises. We got much more out of this one, mainly because of Marti. It was so interesting to watch her work while she explained the ingredients and processes. She unabashedly talked about life in Hungary, growing up, and her family life. It gave us much to think about as we return to our relatively easy life in the States.

A Fantastic Cooking Experience! - We took this cooking class as part of a Viking cruise excursion in Budapest, and it was truly one of the highlights of our trip! Marti gave us a warm welcome into her cozy cooking school, where we learned how to make delicious Lángos. Beyond the hands-on cooking experience, she shared fascinating stories about how life in Budapest has changed from her childhood to today, adding a personal and cultural touch to the class. It was also a great way to connect with our fellow travelers—we had so much fun cooking and sharing the experience together. If you’re looking for an authentic taste of Hungarian cuisine and a deeper understanding of the local culture, this class is a must. Highly recommend!

Great cooking class! - We love taking cooking classes when traveling out of the country, and this was one of our favorites! We traveled to Budapest to kick off a Viking river cruise, and we were excited for this class with Marti. We had already been to a couple of Christmas markets the days prior, so we'd seen langos in the stalls. We were intrigued, but hadn't tried them. I'm so glad we waited until we made them with Marti! She taught us to make two types of dough, and gave us lots of toppings to complete them with. We ate them alongside Hungarian wine, and just generally had a great morning. Matri's space is lovely, and she is a wonderful teacher. We enjoyed hearing her experiences growing up in Hungary, and how food is an important part of their culture. If you are able to, take this class! And come HUNGRY!!!

Take this class!! - Marti is an excellent instructor! Each step is carefully explained in detail including the history. She personalized the class by sharing her family history and traditions as it relates to making and eating Langos. Her command of English is great! All class members are invited to and encouraged to participate in making both varieties of Langos. We then fried each of the two varieties and enjoyed eating them. I highly recommend this class and would absolutely say it was worth the cost and the time!! After class we were asked to write our email addresses for her so she could email us all of the recipes and instructions. I received that email by the end of the day.😆
