1933 Old Millfun - The 1933 Millfun, constructed with imported concrete from England, features walls about 50 centimeters thick with a hollow center. The architecture blends Eastern and Western styles, with elements like “no beam floor,” “umbrella column,” and “spiral staircase,” creating a unique architectural masterpiece. The building’s simple yet intricate design reflects the ingenuity of its original designers. Nearly a century old, 1933 Millfun remains a pioneering structure, once one of only three such slaughterhouses globally, and the only one still intact.
Shanghai Duolun Road Cultural Celebrities Street - Duolun Road, a 550-meter-long street in Shanghai, is lined with over 20 architecturally significant buildings. Its diverse styles include English, French, Japanese, Dutch, Spanish, Islamic, and Chinese, making it an “open-air museum” of Shanghai architecture.
