Highly Recommend - We had a great time with Jade trying food around Shanghai! Everything was well organized and tasty. Our favorite foods were the fruit and gluttonous rice cake.

Memorable Shanghai food tour with friends - We had an incredible experience on the Shanghai breakfast walking tour of the former French Concession, thanks to our amazing guide, Jade. She was knowledgeable, engaging, and very hands-on throughout the tour. Jade provided great insight into local culture and cuisine, and made sure everyone in the group felt included and taken care of. Her passion and energy made the tour both fun and informative. This was easily one of the highlights of our trip—and Jade is now one of our most favorite tour guides. Highly recommended!

Great food, great conversation! - I’ve been on lots of tours in many places around the world and this is the first time I’ve had a private tour…just me! Kurt was a really engaging guide and we talked so much about Shanghai history and of course, all the food. It was a very rainy day but we made lots of stops to taste delicious dishes and dry off a bit. Highly recommend this breakfast tour around the French Concession area.

Engaging and informative. - More than just a food tour, our guide weaved in some history, personal anecdotes and must see tourist sites - effectively giving us 2 to 3 tours in one. His English was very good and the tour was very flexible adapting to the weather and ques en route. Extra dishes were offered if somebody wanted to try something specific. Highly rated, engaging and informative with an easy going personality.

Breakfast Delight - Would highly recommend Shanghai foodie and this breakfast tour. Jade our guide was fantastic. She was knowledgeable, her English was strong and she did an amazing job of guiding us through the tour and ensuring we had a great experience. The breakfast tour is a great introduction to the Shanghai food scene and to try many foods for the first time and likely food you would be unable to order on your own. If you are looking for a food tour pick this company.

Excellent way to start your day - Perfect way to kick off a Sunday in Shanghai. Kurt was an excellent host and I really enjoyed the mix of delicious food and drinks highlights being the ‘dirty’ coffee, chinese crepe/pancake, Shanghai dumplings and the burek-style shallot oil pancake at the markets. The French quarter has a chilled vibe at that time of the morning, wish I had more time to come back and check out the restaurants, wine bars and boutique shops I saw along the way. Throw in the walks through some backstreets and then the parks full of people undertaking activities from yo-yos to choirs to ballroom dancing to musicians and matchmaking, all in all it was a highly enjoyable 3.5 hours. Kurt was a great host, happy to share knowledge but also go off on tangents if the conversation took a turn. There is no sense at all of a rote performance, every tour would be different according to the interests of the guests. Strongly recommended, including the booking process.
