Yu Garden - This tour is ideal for experiencing Shanghai’s most renowned attractions. The private guided tour starts with a visit to Yuyuan Garden and Shanghai Old Street, where you can admire classic statues, ornaments, and flatware from the Ming and Qing dynasties. The expansive garden features numerous halls, springs, and small buildings. Here, you can participate in a traditional tea ceremony. Next, explore the former French Concession in Xintiandi, observe the classic 1920s Shikumen architecture, and stroll through the old alleyways to enjoy the blend of classic and modern atmospheres.
Continue to the Jade Buddha Temple, a sacred 19th-century structure from the Qing Dynasty, and view the two exquisite Jade Buddha statues. Admire the temple’s majestic architecture while your guide shares the fascinating history of its construction. The Jade Buddha Temple is a Buddhist temple that incorporates both the Pure Land and Chan traditions of Mahayana Buddhism. It was established in 1882 with two jade Buddha statues brought to Shanghai from Myanmar by sea.
Finally, a short trip will take you to The Bund, an iconic and prestigious area. The buildings lining the waterfront are collectively known as a “Gallery of World Architecture.” At night, the artistic lights create a scene reminiscent of crystal palaces with a fantastic charm.
Suzhou Classic Gardens and Water Town
The Lingering Garden - At 9 a.m., a private car will take you to Suzhou, a 2-hour drive. The first stop is the Lingering Garden, an ancient garden in Suzhou and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Pingjiang Road - This ancient street has a thousand-year history. It stretches about 1.6 km and is lined with shops and restaurants on both sides of the stream, making it a great place for souvenirs and local snacks.
Zhouzhuang Water Town - Next, a private car will take you to Zhouzhuang Water Town, a 1-hour drive. Visit the UNESCO heritage site known for its canal system, often referred to as the “Venice of the East.”
At the end of your tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Shanghai, a 1 hour 40-minute drive.
Hangzhou Charming Tour by Bullet Train Experience
West Lake (Xi Hu) - Travel to Hangzhou by bullet train, a journey of about 1.5 hours. The first stop is West Lake, followed by a boat cruise to enjoy the lake’s stunning views.
Faxi Temple - Visit the historical Faxi Temple, which has over 1000 years of history, and enjoy the beautiful tea plantation scenery in the hills.
Longjing Tea Fields - Experience a green tea tasting and observe the Longjing tea processing in the tea village.
At the end of the tour, you will be returned to your hotel and stay overnight in Hangzhou.
Hangzhou to Huangshan Tangmo Village
Huangshan Tangmo Scenic Spot - Take a morning bullet train to Huangshan Station, where a local guide will escort you to Tangmo Village. This charming ancient village, with over a thousand years of history, showcases original Hui-style architecture. Tangmo Village is also known as “Small West Lake.” The village’s layout was designed by generations. Here, you can try traditional activities like ancient paper-making and scripture rubbing, a skill used by Chinese scholars to transfer calligraphy from stones. Learn and create your own work. Enjoy a local dinner and stay overnight in the village.

Mount Huangshan to Explore Nature
Huangshan Mountain - Meet your guide in the morning and take a comfortable coach to Huangshan Mountain Scenic Area. Upon arrival, take a cable car up the mountain, enjoying the magnificent scenery as you ascend. Once off the cable car, explore the Beihai Scenic Area, the Beginning-to-Believe Peak, the Black Tiger Pine, and the Flower Grown out of a Writing Brush Rock. Have lunch on the peak, then continue to explore famous sites on Huangshan Mountain, such as the Flying Stone, a 39-foot-high, 8-meter-long, 360-ton rock balanced on a small ledge, and the Cloud-dispersing Pavilion, a great spot to admire the unique stones, cloud sea, strange peaks, and deep valleys. Afterward, enjoy dinner and return to your hotel.
Hongcun Ancient Village & Return to Shanghai
Hongcun Ancient Village - Rise at dawn to witness the sunrise before breakfast. The Refreshing Terrace is a recommended spot. Continue to explore more of Mt. Huangshan’s wonders, including Lion Peak, Dawn Pavilion, Stone Monkey Watching the Sea, and the various shapes of pines along the route. For hiking enthusiasts, the West Sea Grand Canyon offers an exciting route in the Huangshan area. Visit Hongcun Village, dine at a local restaurant, and explore this ancient village with a rich history and beautiful landscape. Discover various sights in the village, such as South Lake, Chengzhi Hall, Lexu Hall, and Shuren Hall. The village’s approximately 150 houses were built during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Finally, take a bullet train back to Shanghai.
