This village maintains traditional Huizhou-style architecture from the Ming & Qing Dynasties, featuring white-washed walls, gray tiles, horse-head gables, and exquisite carvings. Return to Tunxi, the city’s center. Visit the China Huizhou Culture Museum and explore the Ancient Street of Tunxi, the best-preserved commercial street from the Ming and Qing Dynasties.

Our guide will rendezvous with you in the lobby of your Tunxi city hotel at 8:30am to begin the tour. The first stop is a drive to Yixian County, often referred to as a true earthly paradise, where you’ll explore the renowned Hongcun Village. As a world heritage site, the unique buffalo-shaped village served as one of the filming sites for the Oscar-winning film, “Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon.” The village is home to traditional Huizhou-style houses from the Ming & Qing Dynasties, identifiable by their white walls, gray rooftops, horse-head gables, and intricate carvings. Afterwards, we’ll return to the heart of Tunxi, where we’ll visit the China Huizhou Culture Museum and take a stroll along the beautifully preserved Ancient Street of Tunxi, established during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Lunch will be served at a local eatery.
