Fantastic couples trip - Fantastic! We highly recommend this tour. We were picked up by MrAbanob, our chauffeur for trips to and from Desert Rose Hotel in Hurghada (he also chauffeured us around Luxor) and everything was on time and very comfortable. On arrival in Luxor, we were introduced to Professor Ahmed Elsisi, our Egyptologist tour guide who was fantastic, and accompanied us throughout our excursions in Luxor. Not only was he extremely knowledgeable about the various sites, he was incredibly helpful with the restaurants and locals, especially in helping to translate to accommodate my nut allergy. He also acted as our personal photographer, which was so nice of him. The Karnak Temple, the Baloon ride and Nile cruise were highlights for us, but overall, the trip was an epic highlight of our honeymoon in Hurghada. Just a couple of things to be aware of: - the Lotus Hotel rooms are passable (though the setting by the nile is stunning and we had a breakfast pack up prepared for our ealrly start for the baloon ride) so don't expect luxury. If you book well in advance (which we didn't (and it was Easter)) I'd imagine you might be able to upgrade the hotel option. - we ate at the same restraunt for lunch and dinner on Day 1, which would be fine, but it was a set menu of shish options for both meals. Both tasty, but it would be nice if we had a different dinner option. That said, Aton Restaurant on the West Bank for lunch on Day 2 was lovely. All things considered, these two points are minor, and if you're looking for a tour of Luxor which is more special, avoids crouds and feels all about you, all without breaking the bank, then this one is for you. Well done Legacy Tours!

An amazing day trip to Luxor! - My wife and I had a fantastic tour of the Valley of the Kings and Luxor temples with Professor Ahmed Elsisi and our driver Mahmoud. We opted for a private tour from Hurghada to Luxor. Mahmoud was punctual, reliable and professional at every step of the way. He got us to Luxor in good time and took us straight to our scheduled breakfast on the roof terrace overlooking central Luxor and river Nile. From there while having breakfast we were watching/listening city waking up to an early morning prayer. This itself it’s a must, cannot be described it must be experienced. Soon after we met up with professor Ahmed who had excellent knowledge of the sites and Egyptian History. We visited valley of the kings and West Bank temples before going for scheduled lunch which was all great quality. After lunch we went for organised boat trip on the Nile where we took some amazing pics. We highly recommend this outing with Professor Elsisi if you wanna see great historical monuments of Luxor.

Private Luxor trip - Professor Ahmed Elsisi proved to be an exceptional guide, sharing a wealth of knowledge about Egypt’s history and culture. Throughout the day we explored the Valley of the Kings, watched traditional methods of crafting artefacts, visited the Temple of Hatshepsut, the Colossi of Memnon and the Temple of Karnak, and even enjoyed a peaceful boat ride along the Nile. We also stopped at a lovely restaurant where the food was wonderfully fresh and flavourful. Thank you for such an unforgettable experience. The tour covered hotel transfers, meals and entry to all the sites. We set off at 5am and returned at around 5pm, and I can honestly say it was the most rewarding twelve-hour trip I’ve ever taken.

Private Luxor tour to Hurghada - Professor Ahmed Elsisi was extremely informative. We learnt so much about Egyptian history and culture. We visited the valley of the kings, saw how the artifacts were made, visited thetemple of Hatshepsut, Colossi of Memnon, Temple of Karnak and had a boat trip on the Nile. In between we went to a nice restaurant the food was fresh and delicious. Thank you so much for the trip. The trip included transfer to and from the hotel, food and tickets to see each monument. We left at 5am and got back at 5pm. I can confidently say this was the best 12 hour trip ever.

Private Luxor tour from Hurghada - We had a wonderful day visiting Luxor from Hurghada. While the drive was long, it was well worth the drive time. Professor Ahmed Elsisi made history come alive with his stories. We definitely leaned a lot. All in all it was a very worthwhile day

Exceptional - Magnificent excursion, a big thank you to our Francophone guides who shared their passion for ancient Egypt. Ideal for visiting the main sights of Luxor without the fatigue of a day trip from Hurghada. The exceptional sunrise experience in a hot air balloon remains unforgettable

History and culture - We had a lovely two day tour to Luxor with Legacy Tours from Hurghada. Karnak Temple and the Valley of the Kings are stunning and well worth the trip alone. Our guide ‘The Professor’ Ahmed Elsisi was hugely informative and entertaining, finding space away from the crowds and sun, whilst conveying the history with humour. The whole tour was smoothly run and our driver Mohammed was excellent. Lunches and dinner were at Egyptian restaurants (the meze and kofta were both refreshing and tasty, perfect in the heat), and I really enjoyed the Nile cruise on the felucca boat cooling down after a day at the temples. We stayed at the Lotus hotel with views of the Nile, and popped next door to the Steigenberger for a cool beer after a long day! The only reason I’ve given 4 stars not five is that after getting up early for the balloon ride our balloon was the only balloon out of 40+ going up that morning that didn’t fly. So we stood in a field for nearly two hours watching the sunrise and everyone else going up. However, the rest of the tour ran very smoothly and efficiently, and was very good value for money compared to the hotel agencies, well worth it! With special thanks to Professor Ahmed and Mohammed for looking after us so well.

Recommended - We had a great time with our tour guide Professor Ahmed Elsisi & Mohammed the driver. The historical & Nile cruise sides of our 2 day trip was exceptional. As well as sharing his in depth knowledge of all things Egyptology the Prof was huge fun, keeping us entertained with stories & anecdotes. The only reason I have down graded to 4 stars was the balloon trip, where Legacy Tours were seriously let down by their choice in flight partners. Unfortunately out of approximately 40 flights that went up, we were the only balloon not to leave the ground, which I could totally understand if it was down to bad weather or technical issues. However the organisation by the flight company was terrible, we were left standing in a field for 2 hours given 20 differing reasons for not flying, fed lies by the balloon company & led to believe that we would fly, which never happened. I know the balloon element of the tour was not organised by Legacy, but they seriously need to review their partnership with their existing supplier. As I started this review, all communication & the tour with Legacy were exceptional ( Balloon flight excepted). From the initial contact/discussions with the owner Ahmed (Not the Professor), the driving of Mohammed & of course the knowledge of Professor Ahmed Elsisi we have nothing but praise. Unfortunately the failure of the balloon trip company marred what was otherwise an amazing experience. However I would still recommend both Legacy & the tour.
