Superb day exploring some of Luxors most amazing places - Super tour from start to finish! Muhammad our guide was brilliant, so knowledgeable and always happy to answer any questions. Our traditional Egyptian meal was delicious and our driver (sorry I forgot his name) was great. Highly recommended

Valley of the Kings - Our tour guide Mohammed was excellent, his knowledge and understanding of Egyptian history was second to none. From the pick up to drop off the service was outstanding. The driver interacted with us and made frequent stops on the 4 hour journey to Luxor. Once we entered the Valley of the Kings Mohammed gave us the history and answered all our questions, his English was perfect. The lunch stop was lovely then followed by a trip across the Nile to Karnak temple which was out of this world. Can’t recommend this trip highly enough along with our guide who made the trip extra special.

Valuable private tour - The tour was spotless from the beginning to the end. I definitely recommend it. A particular thanks to the driver Ramadan, his driving skills were immaculate. He has been friendly polite and pactual. Thank you also to our guide Mohamed that has been very informative and discrete leaving us some space. The only regret is that we spent most of the time driving and a bit rushed during the visits.

Luxor is a must-see when you are on holiday in Hurghada. - We had a super organized trip to Luxor, with our friendly driver Mohammad and our very well informed and German speaking guide Marc. Marc gave us many valuable insights into ancient Egypt, which we would not have known without him. Marc is a very enthusiastic guide and very attentive, which is why you can also tell him that you don't want one or the other item on the program (for example, visiting a spice house or stopping to buy souvenirs, even if they are very appealing in quality). Very nice was the visit to Nile Island. We can also recommend the trip with Legacy Tours without hesitation due to the very good communication via WhatsApp in advance. The trip from Hurghada to Luxor is always a bit strenuous due to the distance, but as a private tour with personal driver and guide significantly more relaxed and flexible.

Great Tour/Experience - An early start to the day (4.30am) but well worth it to see everything that’s packed into this tour! Overall it was a fantastic experience and I would recommend this tour company - more info below! Positives (lots!): 1. Drivers - great drivers. A couple of stops there and back at petrol stations to use the restroom or grab a drink/snack. They were really polite and friendly and the car was super clean and comfortable. They even stopped to get us an ice cream on the way home! 2. Guide - Our guide, Mohammed, was brilliant. Very friendly and knowledgable regarding the history of each site, offered recommendations as to which tombs to visit at the Valley of the Kings and had all the tickets ready for us at each site, omitting the need for queueing. 3. Visited - Temple of Karnak, Valley of the Kings, Temple of Hatshepsut, 20 min private boat ride on the Nile - everywhere we went was absolutely awe-striking. We only drove passed the Colossi of Memnon, no stop which was a little disappointing. 4. Food - We were taken for food at a lovely little cafe in Luxor. The food was Egyptian cuisine and absolutely stunning - somewhere we would have returned to for food, had we been staying in the area! Negatives (just 1): 1. Alabaster Shop - The guy who owned the shop was very polite and friendly, offered drinks and showed us how it was made (5 min explanation, which was great), but there was pressure to buy something (even though they say they won’t pressure you). Unfortunately, it was just me and my Mum (2 women) so it didn’t feel comfortable and was a little intimidating, as we were the only ones there with about 6-7 men dotted around and watching. We did buy a beautiful vase in the end however, we were chased to the car to make the purchase after saying no several times. The Alabaster shop is not in the itinerary and so we weren’t expecting it until the guide mentioned it. Tips: 1. Make sure you wear comfortable clothing and footwear; there’s lots of walking on uneven ground in the heat. 2. If you can, take some food with you from the hotel. 3. Take water with you (or buy it in the petrol station on the way) - we didn’t get given water until after dinner and you will definitely need some in the heat. 4. If you want to, there are plenty of opportunities to tip - food, Nile cruise (the young boys driving the boat were really grateful here), etc. - so take some Egyptian currency. 5. Take small Egyptian change for the toilets - they are 20EGP.

A day to remember - My wife and I have just returned from a wonderful day trip to the Valley of the Kings and Luxor. We were met promptly by our driver at 0430 and he delivered us safely to Luxor, where we were joined by our guide for the day, Professor Ahmed Alsisi. We were taken into the Valley of the Kings and given excellent commentary and explanations of all that the site contained. We were given the choice of three tombs to visit, plus the addition of King Tut’s tomb. None disappointed and were truly amazing, helped of course by the knowledge of Professor Alsisi. Onwards we went to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut which has been wonderfully restored by the Polish archaeological team who have been onsite for many years, and surrounded by the tombs of the nobles from that period. Our last site, the Habu temple, was again spectacular and incredibly preserved after more than 3000 years. I’m sure Ramses 3 would be chuffed! A nice lunch and a gentle trip on the Nile rounded off our day and we hit the road for the trip back to Sahl Hasheesh. A stop on both journeys to grab a coffee and a toilet break were welcome, so thank you Hesham for that and getting us to and from safely. Thanks again Professor Alsisi, we’ll never remember all the vast information you shared with us but we will remember the day!

Worth the extra for a private tour - An early start (4:30am) but well worth it. We were picked up promptly by our driver and the journey to Luxor was comfortable. In Luxor we were met by our guide, Mohamed, who was excellent throughout the day. Having a private tour certainly made it easier to both see the sights and hear the descriptions. Watching the chaos of some of the group trips made us appreciate our choice to go for a private tour. Our tour started in Karnak with a good guided walk and some free time then on to the valley of the kings and a couple of tombs recommended by Mohamed. The palace of Hapshepsut followed and then a nice lunch and finally a short boat trip on the Nile. Arrived back at our hotel by 5:30pm.

Discovery day Luxor - An intense day full of discoveries, everything was well organized since the hotel pickup at 4.30 am; we had the contact the day before for schedule and confirmation 2 friendly drivers in the aisle, toilet stop coffee around 7am On arrival at around 9am we found our guide for the day , as expected he spoke very good French and we enjoyed listening to him; the sites visited are beautiful and we were captivated by these cultural vestiges , we had very good Egyptian specialities lunch in a small typical tavern on the terrace, Crossing the Nile for 20/30mn nice, take back the car waiting for us near the sites visited each time with cold drinks; for our Last visit of the day Karnak Small downside for this karnak temple,; too fast this temple deserves a more important time so much there is to discover; As we understand it, Ramadan at sunset made us leave early to go through security checks; Our driver made the drive home by himself with a toilet drink stop during the drive; and dropped us off delighted at 8pm in front of our hotel

Great to get there before the crowds but… - We were impressed that the drivers were very prompt and were ready to pick us up at 4.30am. The first driver drove us to Luxor safely and provided us with water on our journey which was appreciated. We met our guide Ahmed Elisi in Luxor and he competently informed us of much information throughout our tour. I am henceforth inspired to discover more about the Ancient Egyptians for myself. We visited various impressive Pharaoh’s tombs and would recommend King Tut’s tomb as a must see! It was fantastic to be relatively free from heavy crowds because we arrived there in good time. We visited 2 temples which were also of great interest. The disappointment came when we were taken to an alabaster factory where we were mislead in thinking that it would be of educational interest as a place of historical/cultural value. It was in fact a tourist trap and we were awkwardly coerced into buying an item which we did not intend to purchase. Lunch was satisfactory and then we embarked upon a most disappointing 20 minute chug upon The River Nile. 5 minutes from the jetty, we remained stationary for a further 10 minutes before returning to shore; a huge disappointment! Before departing from our guide, we were told that he expected 2 reviews from my husband and myself, no doubt presumably of a complimentary nature regarding himself. Only then, would he release photos and videos of the day. We felt that this was a ploy of bribery and therefore my husband refused to comment and become part of this game! On our return, we were unimpressed and fearful of a serious lack of safety adopted by our second driver who decided to text or phone people throughout our whole journey back to our hotel, one hand/ non on the steering wheel whilst driving at high speeds. It was a day of amazing visits and poor/misjudged actions by our driver and guide hence the low rating.
