Fantastic day trip! - Fantastic day trip from Hurghada to Luxor with Ahmed the driver and Ahmed El Sisi our guide for the day. It’s an early 5am start but Ahmed arrived on time and we began the drive. It’s a long way but there are a couple of stops where you can buy drinks, snacks and use the facilities. We started at the valley of the kings, then the temple of hapshetsut followed by the collossi of memnon with a stop at the artists alabaster workshop in between before a buffet lunch. After this we jumped on to a felucca for a scenic trip along the Nile and returned to finally visit the habou temple which was an impressive site to behold. Ahmed the guide was extremely personable, knowledgeable and full of insight, bringing history to life and describing the many statues, glyphs and carvings in great detail. After this we were on our way back to the hotel and were able to reflect on a great day which we would absolutely recommend.
Overall, the day was fantastic. If we were going to over any comments for continuous improvement or for those partaking: the car did smell a little of petrol at first which was a bit off putting at 5am but Ahmed our driver soon sorted and he also provided lots of drinks throughout the day. The cleanliness of toilets were variable with some not as clean or well equipped as others so use at your discretion. We also tipped a lot as we went round the sites so either have tips ready or be prepared to say no with no shame.

A Grand Day Out! - Fantastic day exploring Luxor with Abdul and Ahmed!
We had a fantastic day exploring the incredible sights of Luxor. Our tour guide, Abdul, was absolutely brilliant—so knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about Egyptian history, which made every stop fascinating. Our driver, Ahmed, was equally wonderful—courteous, patient, and made sure we travelled in comfort throughout the day.
Given the heat, we really appreciated the regular supply of cold drinks, and the delicious lunch provided was a real treat. One of the highlights was the boat ride across the Nile, offering stunning views and a refreshing breeze. However, the absolute standout for us was the tour of the Temple of Karnak—truly awe-inspiring and brought to life by Abdul’s storytelling.
Overall, a fantastic, well-organised trip with a brilliant team. Highly recommended!

Fantastic tour, service and guide - I booked this tour a few days in advance and had to change the date last minute as my partner had some tummy issues 😁 prompt communication and no issue changing the date, which was very much appreciated by us. On the day of the tour we got picked up just before 5 and had a smooth drive with comfort stops. Once in Luxor we met another driver who’d take us round for the day and we met our guide El Tayeb (LT), who was truly amazing to have around all day. He patiently told us what to look out for, the history and so much more. He took pictures of us and really guided us along which made for an unforgettable day. There is water or soft drinks on offer all day and the driver even stopped to get us ice cream. The car was comfortable, airconditioned and you can leave anything the car that you do not want to carry around all day.
Thank you for a long but worthwhile and unforgettable day. We would not have wanted to miss it.

Best tour ever - I'm a travel consultant and my clients did this tour with you today. Since they’re currently abroad in Egypt, they asked me to leave this review on their behalf. They gave it 5 stars! They were absolutely thrilled with the experience. The guide was amazing — did the whole tour in Portuguese, super kind and friendly. The driver was also very attentive. Disappointing experience with the guide – not recommended - We booked a private excursion from Safaga to Luxor through Viator. The driver on the way out was very friendly and accommodating – high praise for that. Unfortunately, our day guide Mohamed has clouded the entire experience. He first presented himself as caring and familiar, but turned out to be manipulative. Under the pretext of protecting us from being ripped off, he deliberately took us to overpriced tourist shops (e.g. jewelry making), where we were heavily pressured to buy something. His behavior was patronizing, unrespectful, and often even slightly aggressive when we didn’t focus our attention on him or talk for a short time, for example.
In the Valley of the Kings we were completely overwhelmed by the flood of information at 40 degrees. Mohamed did not actively ask us if we wanted to visit the tomb of Tutankhamun, although he only mentioned it briefly once at the very beginning. Only at the end of the day, when we asked for it, did he claim that we had rejected it – which was not true. It is the job of a good guide to provide clear information and ask again if necessary.
The second driver in Luxor was succinct, unprofessional and didn't even introduce himself. Overall unfortunately a very uncomfortable and disappointing experience. I strongly recommend asking for a guide other than Mohamed from this provider – or choosing a completely different tour.
