- Gullfoss Waterfall - Gullfoss is one of Iceland’s most renowned waterfalls, known for its impressive height and power. The Hvítá river, a glacial river originating from Langjökull, cascades down this two-tiered waterfall.
There are several viewing platforms to admire the waterfall, and above Gullfoss, the Gullfoss Center provides restrooms, a cafeteria, and gift shops.
NOTE: The path leading directly to the waterfall is closed during the winter months.
- Geysir - In Haukadalur, there is a field of hot springs associated with the famous Geysir hot spring, once an active geyser. The main attraction is the Strokkur geyser, which erupts approximately every 5 minutes.
Visitors have time to explore the area, and this is also where a lunch break is taken. At Geysir Center, there are restrooms, gift shops, and the restaurant Glíma, which offers a variety of dishes suitable for any palate or diet.
- Thingvellir National Park - Þingvellir is rich in history and natural beauty, situated between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates. This rift valley holds a special significance for Icelanders, as it is where the nation was founded by Norse Viking settlers who established the world’s oldest parliament, Alþingi Íslendinga, in 930 AD.
There is ample time to explore this natural wonder, offering a unique opportunity to stand between two continents. Visitors can walk through the rift valley, where the tectonic plates are gradually moving apart by approximately 2 cm each year.
Þingvellir was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2004 and is undoubtedly one of Iceland’s most beautiful and historic locations.
The area features restrooms and coffee shops for visitors.
- Kerid Crater - The tour includes a stop at Kerið crater, a 6,500-year-old volcanic formation with a small lake. The crater is distinguished by the contrasting colors of moss, red volcanic rock, and light blue water. Visitors are encouraged to explore the lakeside and appreciate the stunning beauty of Kerið.
