A must! - What a day!! Exploring this park with Midgard was awesome, thanks to a combination of driving to unreachable places by other means, hiking an amazing colourful special hike and being taken care of by our guide Alesandro who saw it as his mission to share incredible places with us. It was a small group which was great.

Midgard is amazing! - Can’t say enough great things about the staff. When our flight was cancelled, they worked tirelessly to help us get on another tour. The tour was amazing and the food was good. Definitely book with Midgard. They treat you like family.

Leave it to the professionals - We had a wonderful day with Palmi our driver and guide on our private southern highlands exploration super jeep tour. Starting off on ordinary roads and then up on to the F roads through lava fields and up into Landmannalaugar. We must have travelled through every terrain possible, through rivers and up to amazing viewpoints, culminating in a 2.5 - 3hr hike. The drive was amazing and certainly not something I would dare attempt to do in a rental car. An unforgettable way to explore the regions diverse and breathtaking scenery. Palmi was an excellent driver and guide and we shall be recommending him and Midgard adventures to anyone visiting Iceland.

Another great stay - As with previous experiences, Midgard delivered with a great trip into Iceland’s natural beauty. Extremely knowledgeable guide (from Iceland not abroad) and comfortable, safe vehicle. Always a pleasure to be at Midgard, they truly make you feel like part of the family.

Unique remote experience in Iceland! - This was our most unique experience in Iceland! The guide took us in a super jeep along primitive roads at the base of a volcano, and drove through waterways so we could have access to the completely remote area of Landmannalaugar. We hiked through fields of lava rock, observing beautifully colored landscape, mountains and steam fissures. At the end of the hike was a natural hot spring, but it was a cold day so we didn’t try it out. The guide was so interesting and informative, and he was a great driver who knew precisely when to adjust his tire pressure (making us feel completely safe). The landscape was absolutely gorgeous! I highly recommend this activity!

Excellent company with many offerings - The Midgard Team provided a great tour. Great company with very friendly and personable. Our guide (Jon spelled with an accent over the O) was very knowledgable of the area and very personable. He told us about the geology, culture, and personal connections to the area. It was particularly meaningful that he was born and raised in the area. Our tour was in a highly specialized vehicle- the tires could be inflated and deflated at the flip of the switch to improve how it handled a very bumpy F road, and as such, it was a much smoother ride than in other vehicles. Our tour went through a less frequently used route (unsure if this is the norm for Midgard or if we lucked out, but definitely inquire about this type of option) and we saw many beautiful sites on the way to Landmannalaugar. We stopped periodically to look around and take pictures. Once at Landmannalaugar we enjoyed an easy hike with Jon and the rest of the group. Landmannalaugar is beautiful. We had lunch together (We brought our own lunch but Midgard prepared great looking lunches for people who requested them ahead). Jon offered us coffee and tea (I think hot chocolate too). Then we spent some time bathing in the hot springs. On the route back we continued to see more beautiful sites. We also enjoyed eating at the Midgard restaurant at their base camp and stayed overnight in their camper spaces. We were able to use their facilities which included a great hot tub. They also had a sauna, bathing suite dryer, laundry machines, showers, and bathrooms. The facilities were very clean.

Fantastic trip. - We had a wonderful time on this full day trip. Our guide Heymin was incredibly knowledgeable and took us all over the highland areas to see incredible vistas and hidden gems as well as Landmannalaugar. Even though the weather wasn't brilliant, he tailored the day to get the best out of our experience. We loved the natural hot springs at Landmannalaugar.

Excellent tour Landmannalaugar - We had a great day. The tour was well organized, our guide Mike gave a lot of information and was pleasant company. Superb Tour! - Absolutely superb trip into the Highlands. The Super jeep was a great experience as it effortlessly tackled the challenging terrain and river crossings. Ingvar was a fantastic guide and everything was saw was absolutely stunning, including some unexpected locations on the return journey. The Basecamp is a superb place to start the tour and the food in the restaurant afterwards was delicious.
