As India’s tallest statue of Dr. B R Ambedkar, it has become a new icon of the city, offering visitors a unique experience. The entrance to this iconic statue is a circular building reminiscent of India’s Parliament building.
- NTR Ghat - Spanning 55 acres, this site houses the memorial of the esteemed leader of Andhra Pradesh, the late N T Rama Rao. The park was developed by the Government of Andhra Pradesh with a generous budget of 40 crores to honor this respected leader and renowned Tollywood film star. Originally, this location was the Hussain Sagar Thermal Power Station, initiated by the Nizam of Hyderabad in 1912, and was one of India’s oldest thermal power stations, supplying power to Hyderabad city.

Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat - Telangana has added another achievement to its list with the Telangana State Secretariat, a state-of-the-art integrated complex featuring seamless connectivity, spacious conference halls, and lush green surroundings next to the historic Hussain Sagar Lake.
- Telangana Martyrs Memorial - Also known as Telangana Amara Jyothi or Amaraveerula Stupam, this monument honors the 369 students who died during the 1969 agitation for a separate Telangana state. Telangana Martyrs Memorial Day is observed on June 2 every year across all districts of Telangana State. Situated on the banks of Hussain Sagar, opposite the State Secretariat Building in Hyderabad, it is the largest seamless stainless-steel memorial in the world, five times larger than Cloud Gate in Chicago.
- Tank Bund - The Tank Bund, serving as the dam/embankment to Hussain Sagar, connects the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. Featuring 33 statues of great leaders from the Telugu-speaking region, it is now a major tourist attraction.
- Buddha Statue - Standing at 58 feet (18 m) and weighing 350 tons, this is the world’s tallest monolithic statue of the Buddha. A 15-foot (4.6 m) concrete platform, known as the “Rock of Gibraltar,” was constructed in the middle of Hussain Sagar to support the statue’s erection. The city’s roads were also widened for this purpose. This statue is located at Lumbini Park on Hussain Sagar Island and can be reached by a 15-minute boat ride.
