Please be aware that our tours depart on time, so your punctuality is appreciated. It is recommended to arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled tour. Jökulsárlón is a popular destination, with parking available on both sides of Route 1 highway: next to the Glacier Lagoon and south of the bridge at Diamond Beach. Allow ample time to find parking and reach the meeting point on the East side of the Glacier Lagoon parking lot. -

Our Super Jeep is specially adapted for off-road travel to the glacier’s edge. From there, a brief 10-15 minute walk leads to the ice cave, where exploration and photography take place. Our knowledgeable guides will provide you with a helmet and glacier crampons, ensuring you are prepared to walk safely on the ice.
Glaciers are constantly evolving, and the cave visited may change based on conditions. Some caves are larger or more visually impressive than others, but each is unique and selected for your safety and the best possible experience on the day.

Following a brief walk, the guide will escort the group into a naturally formed ice cave - a stunning realm of deep blue ice sculpted by meltwater streams and frozen into enchanting shapes. With a headlamp and glacier crampons, participants will safely explore the cave, take breathtaking photos, and discover how these unique formations emerge and transform with each winter season.
The tour spans approximately 2.5 hours and concludes back at Jökulsárlón Lagoon, the starting point.

- Being properly dressed will make your adventure safer, more comfortable, and more enjoyable. We reccomend wearing layers, waterproof clothing, and sturdy hiking boots.
- Ice caves are popular and often visited by multiple tour groups. While we keep groups small (max 14 people), we cannot guarantee your group will be alone in the cave.
