- Skogafoss - One of Iceland’s largest and most powerful waterfalls. On sunny days, a rainbow might appear in the mist! You can also climb the stairs for a view from above.
- Dyrholaey - A breathtaking location high above the ocean. Experience endless black sand beaches, dramatic cliffs, and in summer, puffins flying around.
- Reynisfjara Beach - Reynisfjara, the magnificent basalt column-fringed black sand beach near the town of Vik. Immerse your hands in the fine basalt sand and enjoy the power of the famously dangerous sneaker waves of Black Sand Beach.
Let your imagination soar and picture yourself in Westeros, about to sail these rough waters with Jon Snow, as one of the GOT scenes was filmed here.
- Vik - This charming seaside village is full of allure. Visit the lovely white church on the hill for stunning views of the town and coastline. Then savor delicious local flavors — perhaps a hot pizza at Black Crust or a warm bowl of soup — and finish with freshly made crepes, sweet with Nutella or savory with skinka (ham). A perfect blend of scenery and treats! You can also shop at Icewear for handmade sweaters or blankets, or simply pick up a souvenir for a friend back home.
- Solheimajokull Glacier - Witness one of the few remaining glaciers in Iceland. Old volcanic ash covering white/blue icebergs and glaciers will transport you into a scene from Game of Thrones. (The GOT scene Fist of The First Man was filmed on Mýrdalsjökull, although Solheimajokull offers a great introduction to the scenic view)
- Seljalandsfoss - Seljalandsfoss – A breathtaking waterfall you can actually walk behind! Feel the cool mist, hear the roar of the water, and capture the perfect photo from a truly unique angle.
- Írárfoss - A lesser-known waterfall. A very peaceful place with the opportunity to get very close to the falling water.*
