Fantastic tour with excellent guide - We had an excellent tour with Michael. We were picked up from the bus stop within the pick up window and the lights were active so went straight out to see them. Clear skies and kp3-5 played in our favour. First stop was just outside the city to see the lights, take photos and have some delicious hot chocolate. Our guide took photos of anyone who wanted one (photos included in the tour- we transfer link sent to download them a few days later). We then drove to a picturesque stop further out of the city next to a river and mountains. Our guide suggested some tips like photos come out better of the more faded lights, he was absolutely right as the ones I took after were much better. The aurora were so strong and dancing across the sky in bright greens. It was magical and far better than I imagined. Then we headed back to Reykjavik but stopped at a final location, to say goodbye to the aurora and for those who wanted them to say goodbye to the aurora. Dropped back at the bus stop just before midnight but the lights had been visible the whole time we were at each location and we had an excellent tour. Bus Travel Iceland were excellent to deal with also as their communication was very good before and after the tour. The minibus was very nice with seatbelts and WiFi. Pick up was chaotic, this is for all the bus companies not just ours. There were many people waiting at the stop for different tours and multiple buses/bus companies, you had to check each one in case it was the one booked. However Michael had a list of names so as soon as we saw the minibus all was great. My advice would be to book this on the first night because if the tour is cancelled or you don't see the lights you can rebook for later in the trip. I booked the small bus tour because they can go where the big buses can't so you maximise the opportunity to chase cloud free skies. Our guide was fantastic and I would recommend this tour.

Great Trip and Lovely Lights - We had a superb trip to see the Northern Lights on 1 December in a small group. Micheal, our guide, was fabulous explaining how the phenomenon occurred and what was importantly for a good show. We visited 3 locations and saw the Northern Lights in all 3. Our photos that Michael took were fab and he gave is tips for taking out own. Michael was really on the ball, making sure we got to the locations in an efficient manner as the light show was expected to fade during the evening. He was right as they faded as we left the last place and a quick stop at a 4th place showed that they had gone for the evening. He really made the most of the time we had. The hot chocolate was lovely and very welcome as it was -12C that evening.

Awesome guide to Northern Lights - They made our Northern Lights small group tour happen when it was only a 2 to 3 scale to see them. The driver/guide was awesome. I understand them much better. Thank you for our tour.

Great tour! - The week we were in Iceland was a challenging one for the Northern Lights. Our tour had to be postponed 3 times due to weather. We were finally successful on the 4th night and were very happy with the job our tour guide did in finding a good viewing area for us.

Unfortunately it was cloudy - We didn't see the lights which wasn't anyone's fault, just disappointing. Pick up and drop off was fine.

Nice but no Lights. - Our driver, I believe his name was Jon, was really nice and tried his best to get us a viewing but the Lights were just not cooperating and we didn’t see any. The hot chocolates and cookies was nice as it was very cold. The van was warm and there only were about 18 of us. We were also picked up on time. The only negative was that the two girls that sat behind us talked nonstop to each other and on the phone. I think the company should request no phone calls during the tour and that passengers keep their talking to a minimum and, at least, in low tones. It was very distracting.

Don’t pay extra for “free photos” - We were lucky that the lights were active on the night of our tour , we saw some at the bus-stop before the tour started and more at the two stops made outside Reykjavik. What was disappointing was that our guide did not take photos for us. He also asked for airdropped copy of images/video from my sister’s iPhone for his own use, promising he would enhance it . Two days later We were sent a link for photos that appeared to be from a different groups photos tour. When I enquired (twice) the only reply was reply was “the photos we sent were the photos we got’.

No retry as promised - We did not see the lights - I understand, they cannot control this and I do not hold that against them. What I do have an issue with, however, is I was told I would get a free retry and a message about it the following day. Instead, I simply got an email saying “hope you had fun, give us a rating!” If I did not get to see the lights, I would live either a refund or a retry. Additionally, although a minor critique, they forgot the hot chocolate. The guide offered us hot chocolate, and then five minutes later said “oh nevermind we forgot it.” The guide was lovely and he did a great job trying to cheer us up, but the overall experience I feel very unhappy with. I feel cheated out of my money.

Terrible service-no pick up - Tour didn’t pick us up at the spot they approved! Very disappointed with this tour company. We contacted them and they told us to go to another location for pick up and then they canceled us altogether! So upset and very disappointed. Do not book with them!!!

Not serious and not professional - They sell tickets even when they know from the weather conditions and the Icelandic Northern Lights forecast system that no Northern Lights will be seen. Finish paying for a hot chocolate and 2 hour coach ride out of town and 1 hour in town to drop off or passengers. The option to do the tour again the next day is also a joke... because most of the time the unfavorable weather conditions last for 1 week and the tourist leaves again
