Absolutely epic afternoon tour to see the real lava from the recent eruptions and not far from Reykjavik! - We booked this tour to see the new volcanic areas and fresh lava fields in Iceland, and it completely blew us away. Every stop was fascinating—and our guide, Michelle, made the whole experience even better. Super knowledgeable, funny, and relaxed. He gave us plenty of time at each stop without rushing and kept us entertained the whole way with cool facts and stories. We visited the town of Grindavík, saw the 2021 eruption site up close on a short but scenic hike, explored a geothermal area, and stopped at beautiful lakes. The views were unreal. The group was small—just 11 of us—which made everything feel more personal and chill. If you’re looking for an easy half-day adventure not far from Reykjavík, this is the one. We had the best day ever!

Offered program and tour not matching - Well what can you say ... we had a very sympathetic guide and that with winds of about 90 km/h on the hike (pt. 4 of the described route) was dispensed with (one could just about hold and walk on flat ground) I sign in full. But that e.g. no stops were made at the two lakes for a few minutes and a few photos I don't like to understand anymore. P were available but we just drove by. So the tour ended in Reykjavik after less than 4 hours. If it is not raining, the windows of the minibus could also be cleaned from the outside to see better ..if you already drive past the intended stops. Today max. only 3 stars.
