• Charlie Taylor Water Wheel at Bridal Veil Falls - Originally a part of Tayler’s series of five stamp mills, the waterwheel was moved as a community project to its present location in 1948. Since then, it has served as an important visual landmark for Idaho Springs residents and for those traveling through the area. In 1988, volunteers donated an estimated 3,800 hours of labor to the rehabilitation/restoration of what is considered to be a valuable community resource.

Consistent rapids will capture your attention throughout the journey. After an enjoyable warm-up section featuring unnamed class III rapids, you’ll plunge into Nomad rapid and quickly find yourself in Fall River rapid. More continuous class III rapids guide you to the 1/4 mile long Phoenix rapid, immediately followed by Deliverance, where you’ll hope to stay in the boat. This segment of Clear Creek provides ample opportunities for whitewater surfing, culminating in the final rapid, Outer Limits, and a delightful scenic section through the town of Idaho Springs. This trip is perfect for those seeking excitement and adventure, ensuring your attention is held the entire time.
