Day 1: Fez / Ifrane / Midelt / Todra Gorges
Ifrane - After meeting, the journey from Fez to Todra Gorges begins, passing through Ifrane, renowned as the finest small town in North Africa. Constructed in the 1930s by the French in a Moroccan style with a Swiss village influence, the route continues through the Middle Atlas and cedar forests. A stop near Azrou offers a chance to see monkeys, rest, and capture some photos. The journey passes through numerous Berber villages.
Midelt - Lunch is planned in the apple village of Midelt. The journey continues through the Atlas Mountains, offering breathtaking landscapes.
Todra River - Arrival at Todra Gorges is timed with the sunset, followed by dinner and an overnight stay in a charming hotel nestled between the mountains, rivers, and valley.
Day 2: Todra Gorges / Erfoud / Merzouga
Merzouga - After breakfast, a half-day is dedicated to exploring Todra Gorge and trekking before heading to Merzouga. The route crosses the Ziz Valley through Tinjdad, Jorf, and Erfoud, reaching Merzouga before sunset. Overnight accommodation is in a Kasbah at the foot of the Erg Chebbi Dunes, with dinner included.
Day 3: Merzouga / Erg Chebbi
Rissani - Following breakfast and some rest, a visit to Rissani, the first capital of the Alouite dynasty, is planned. This includes exploring historical Kasbahs and the famous market, with a chance to taste the local Berber pizza. The journey continues to explore the diverse desert dunes, passing through small villages and stopping to enjoy Saharan music in El Khamlia.
Merzouga - After a refreshing mint tea, guides and camels will be ready to take you across the sandy dunes of Erg Chebbi. Enjoy the stunning sunset on camelback, then return to the hotel at the foot of the Erg Chebbi Dunes for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 4: Merzouga / Ziz Valley / Fez
Merzouga - In the morning, rise early to walk over the sand dunes and watch the sunrise near the Algerian border, approximately 50 km from Merzouga. Return to the hotel by camel, and after breakfast, shower, and rest, the tour back to Fez begins. The route passes through the Ziz Valley, Berber villages, and the Middle Atlas, arriving in Fez in the afternoon to conclude the trip.
