Bijambare Nature Park, situated 40 km northeast of Sarajevo, is also known as the “protected landscape of Bijambare.” It was established to conserve the area’s natural beauty, offer environmental education, facilitate scientific research, and promote tourism and recreation. This protected area spans 497 hectares and is located at an elevation of 950 meters above sea level. The park is renowned for its dense evergreen forests, which feature fascinating phenomena such as sinkholes, chasms, and caves, making it a major attraction.

Visitors are warmly invited to join a trip to this enchanting location, approximately a one-hour drive from Sarajevo, during its open season.

While fairies may not be found in the caves, exploring the stunning landscape of Bijambare will surely enhance any weekend and enrich a visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
