Hop on the back of a safari-style truck, where a team of experienced guides and drivers await. During this opportunity, 12 of the 27 stunning waterfalls will be enjoyed.
After a short safety briefing, glide across the natural water springs, bathing in heavenly caves. Flanked by the whistling of exotic bird life, and the banks of the Damajagua River, the rustling of the streams arouse a state of stillness.
A labyrinth of tunnels and chutes are scattered around the waterfalls, some reaching heights of up to 13 feet. Somersault with the grace of aquatic birds, as your guide keep a watchful eye. Once arrived at the 12th waterfall the adventure begins! You will return through each level by jumping, swimming and sliding down natural waterslides, following the expert instruction from our guides.

A Must-Do Excursion - This was absolutely our favorite excursion. My family of four, like most, does not typically unanimously agree, but we did this time. This was FANTASTIC. I recommend anyone who likes excitement to put this on their list. In addition to the excitement of jumping and sliding down the waterfalls, it was absolutely gorgeous. We did take a phone using the protective waterproof pouch and have beautiful pictures of the falls. The guides were fantastic and helped us every step of the way. We did the Buggies, Waterfalls, lunch, and Monkeyland on this day with Runners Adventures and it was a great day. We all agreed on the ranking of waterfalls, then monkeys, and last buggies. I am not a fan of buggy excursions as this was my second one and I just don't find them exciting (no fault of the tour company, just my personal preference). The waterfalls were so much fun, that I considered doing it more than once. The included lunch was also delicious, authentic Dominican Republic food. Our tour guide Rafael was great. He loves his country and was able to explain a lot about the sites and culture during the drives. Having transportation that pick us up and drop us off at the resort was perfect. Our driver, Fabio, did a great job getting us and the other party from a different resort to and from the excursions. They were on time and the shuttle was comfortable. We felt safe the entire time and left our few belongings that we had to have with us on the shuttle. There was no need to towels, they provided cold water, all necessary equipment was provided but we did have our own water shoes. We did the waterfalls after the buggies which helped us get all the dust off.

A MUST BOOK! - My partner and I booked the Damajagua Waterfalls Tour in Puerto Plata, and it was the absolute best part of our perfect vacation. Our excursion was on April 28th, 2025. Both our guide and our driver were incredible. Thank you so much to Jose Rojas and Emanuel! Not only was the waterfall excursion itself amazing, but we also learned much about Dominican culture and history, and we thoroughly enjoyed our van ride through Puerto Plata. We felt safe and well taken care of, even when jumping off of and sliding down waterfalls. Lunch afterward was delicious and authentic. If you're on the fence about booking, consider this your sign to do so. You won't regret it.

We loved it! - Be ready for a hike! But the reward is gorgeous forest and thrilling waterfalls with fun and knowledgeable guides every step of the way.

A great excursion - Transportation was good and on time with a good driver, Manuel. Our guide, Rafael was very kind and gave us information on the road. The experience of the waterfalls was magical, really loved. The photo service was great too. Very happy with my experience and I plan to do it again.

Waterfalls - Awesome! The hike to the waterfall was beautiful. The jump and slide at the waterfall were impressive. The area is simply gorgeous and the guides were a lot of fun. Loved it!

Excellent,fun, unforgetable!! - I had the best time at the Damajagua Waterfalls and Monke experience with my family. Carlos Vegas and Jose Antonio informed us about the experince and the places with visited. Carlos was amazing at explaining the beautiful culture of the Domican Republic. He also made us aware of the things we should not do. The driver was polite and had the bus with the right temperature and cold water battles in every stop. He was so kind to let us keep our bags in the bus while we were in the experiences. We also visited the artisan mercado. After an explanation and demostration of how the pieces were hand made we were free to explore the mercado and buy what we want. Thank you guys for making our experience unforgetable and stress free!!

Trip worth taking - Absolutely great. What a rush this was. Great guides, great waterfalls, great time. Would do it again anytime. Recommend it for sure.

Do it if you can! - Waterfall slides and a high jump! I’m a big chicken and it was amazing! 10 year old son did all of it! Scenery is beyond words. Our tour guide Junior was 5 star all the way. Really physical climb to get to the waterfalls to work your way down. I imagine busy season would be much longer but since it was June we had no lines and no wait. Would definitely recommend.

Damajagua Waterfalls Adventure from Puerto Plata By Runners Adventures - The Damajagua Waterfalls excursion was a joke. We walked and stopped at least 5 times before we even got to the water because it was so crowded. Out of the whole excursion we were in the water for only a couple of minutes for an excursion that lasted about 4 hours. The water was not clean, and the guides were rushing everyone to get in and out of the water. I was told to jump in the water and there was a man 20 feet right below me that they did not see. So I told them I had to wait, and they were not happy. Numerous people got bumps, bruises, and scratches. This was an OSHA nightmare. On the way back we stopped at some gift shops. As the bus was pulling away, we started yelling because they left 2 people behind. The tour guides Delmis and Rodolfo said they forgot to count the passengers before we left and joked about it. NOT FUNNY. Do not use Runners Adventures for any tour as their people are unprofessional.
