Great experience - We tested this experience with the family and we are delighted. The atmosphere is friendly and everyone actively participates in the preparation of dishes. We recommend this activity (requires to speak and understand at least English)

Highlight of the Bali trip - We would recommend this small excursion to anyone who wants to experience an authentic Bali. The views around the village were magical, the rice fields are really fantastic! The cooking class itself with the Balikaru Family had been a very warm, fun and very positive experience. Not only did we learn to cook Balinese, we could taste everything, but we enjoyed the company of the wonderful family. It was definitely the highlight of the whole Bali trip! Thank you very much Balikaru Family for this special great day with you!

Gladly again - A very enjoyable trip with a competent guide. The cooking was an inspiring experience. Afterwards, we went to the sacred springs and attended a purification ceremony. All new experiences. Thank you for the meeting.

Be sure to do it! - The Balikaru team is incredibly nice and warm. Already at the welcome you immediately feel that you are welcome and welcome. Cooking together was a lot of fun and it was so interesting to meet completely new people. There were five of us and we met a couple from Lithuania. That was a really nice morning and we even learned to cook Balinese. This sounds very touristy and it is, but we take so many beautiful memories and impressions with us that we can only recommend it.

Enjoy cooking - Very nice day with great people who explained the ingredients well and cooked with us with a lot of enthusiasm and fun. We learned a lot and then ate the dishes we made ourselves. Tour really recommended

Really great - We were really surprised, there were hardly any tourists (there were four of us walking around and through the village). Very original, so original that a pig was being slaughtered next to us when we arrived. The tour guide patiently and expertly explained every plant and fruit, the cooking class was fantastic, we love cooking and gained a good insight into Balinese cuisine. We hope that this place stays like this and is not overrun by masses. We can only recommend the trip

This is how we love Bali - a whole day full of impressions and lots of new things - An enchanting day away from the hectic south. We can fully recommend it. The pictures that were shown to us in the hotel were great, but in reality it was even more impressive. The village is away from major roads, and Balikaru is in the middle of the village. Unlike other tours, it is not a backdrop, but part of the village, chickens run around next door, children play and you get to experience everyday life for free and are right in the middle of it all. On the village hike, which is part of the program and where you can stop anywhere and talk to people, we met a really lovely family who gave us fresh jackfruit from their garden. Time seemed to have stood still here, we thought that this must have been how the south of Bali, where we lived, was 50 years ago. Add to that the unique surroundings of rice fields and a mountain, we couldn't decide what to photograph first. The introduction to the herb garden of Balikaru and the preparation of the health drinks from roots, herbs and spices was fascinating, we also didn't know that this has such a long tradition in Bali. And then the cooking class, everything was super fresh and super clean. We had a lot of fun folding the banana leaves - which I didn't manage to do until the end. And we cooked so many courses and ingredients that we lost track a little. Luckily there is information material and great explanations on site. And when we were back in Germany, we found a small certificate, great photos and the recipe book in our mailbox. Thank you!
