Rinca Island - Also referred to as Rincah or Rindja, Rinca is a small island situated near Komodo and Flores islands in East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia, within the West Manggarai Regency. It is one of the three largest islands that form part of Komodo National Park. The island is renowned for its Komodo dragons, giant lizards that can grow up to 3 meters (9.8 ft) in length. Rinca is also home to a variety of other species, including wild pigs, buffalos, and numerous birds.
Kelor Island - The small island of Kelor is nestled between Labuan Bajo and Rinca Island. Kelor Island is encircled by white sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters. This picturesque island boasts a rich diversity of marine life, and those who hike to the top of the hill are rewarded with breathtaking views.
Padar - Pink Beach - Snorkeling - Labuan Bajo
Padar Island - Padar is a small island located between Komodo and Rinca islands within the Komodo archipelago, governed by the West Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. It is the third-largest island within Komodo National Park.
The Komodo archipelago is celebrated for its Komodo dragons, giant lizards that can reach up to 3 meters (9.8 ft) in length. However, unlike the neighboring islands of Komodo and Rinca, which are abundant with these formidable lizards, the Komodo dragon is extinct on Padar Island.
The island’s terrain is rugged, featuring steep volcanic mountains and hills set against deep bays. Padar has a dry climate, with only bushes and grassland vegetation, forming savanna hills. Padar Island has four deep bays with beaches of varying colors; most are white sand, while some have grey and pink sands. The surrounding sea offers several popular sites for scuba diving and snorkeling.
Pink Beach - Pink Beach is one of the most sought-after locations on Komodo Island and a true natural marvel, with only a few similar places worldwide. The beach’s unique color is derived from microscopic organisms known as Foraminifera, which produce a red pigment in the coral reefs. This is why locals refer to it as the Red Beach. When small coral fragments mix with white sand, they create a soft pink hue visible along the shore.
Labuan Bajo - Drop-off at Komodo Airport
Labuan Bajo - After breakfast, join your guide for a visit to the local market before venturing into the stone hills of Labuan Bajo to explore Batu Cermin Cave, also known as Mirror Rock. Observe the sunlight streaming through tiny openings and reflecting off the walls into the deep caverns of this stunning tunnel cave.
In the afternoon, proceed to the airport for your flight.
