Surabaya - Guests will be picked up from their hotel in Surabaya, Juanda International Airport, or Surabaya Train Station before 10 am. It is highly recommended to arrive before 12 noon.
Mount Bromo - At 23:30 - 03:00, depart from the hotel, train station, or airport in Surabaya/Malang and travel to Sukapura Village….
Surabaya - Mount Bromo
Surabaya - Guests will be picked up from their hotel in Surabaya, Juanda International Airport, or Surabaya Train Station before 10 am. It is highly recommended to arrive before 12 noon.
Mount Bromo - At 23:30 - 03:00, depart from the hotel, train station, or airport in Surabaya/Malang and travel to Sukapura Village. From 03:00 - 04:00, switch to a Jeep and drive to Mount Penanjakan to witness the sunrise. Arrive at Penanjakan at 04:00 and enjoy a coffee break while waiting for the sunrise. At 04:30, experience the sunrise at Mount Penanjakan. At 06:00, drive to Mount Bromo Crater. From 06:00 - 08:00, climb the volcano crater. Between 08:00 - 09:00, explore the whispering sand and Luhur Temple. From 09:00 - 10:00, have breakfast at a local restaurant. From 11:00 - 17:00, drive to the hotel in Banyuwangi or Bondowoso, which takes 5 - 6 hours depending on traffic. Stop for lunch at 14:00. Arrive at the hotel at 17:00 and enjoy some rest.
Mount Ijen
Ijen Crater - Wake up at 00:00 and head to Mt Ijen. From 00:00 - 02:30, drive to Mt Ijen. From 02:30 - 03:00, begin climbing Mt Ijen, which takes at least 1.5 to 2 hours. From 03:30 - 05:00, witness the Blue Flame and observe sulfur mining. The Blue Flame is not visible after sunrise, which is why the journey begins at midnight. From 06:00 - 07:00, descend from Mt Ijen. At 08:00, enjoy breakfast provided by the hotel in a Breakfast Box. From 09:00 - 18:00, drive back to Surabaya or Malang.
