Mount Bromo - 23:30 - 03:00 Depart from Hotel/Train Station/Airport in Surabaya/Malang and travel to Sukapura Village.

03:00 - 04:00 Switch to a Jeep and drive to Mount Penanjakan to witness the sunrise.

04:00 Arrive at Penanjakan and enjoy a coffee break while waiting for the sunrise.

04:30 Experience the sunrise at Mount Penanjakan.

06:00 Journey to Mount Bromo Crater.

06:00 - 08:00 Ascend the volcano crater.

08:00 - 09:00 Explore the whispering sand and Luhur Temple.

09:00 - 10:00 Enjoy breakfast at a local restaurant.

11:00 - 17:00 Travel to the hotel in Banyuwangi or Bondowoso (the drive takes 5 - 6 hours depending on traffic).

Mount Ijen

Ijen Crater - Wake up at 00:00 AM and head to Mt Ijen.

00:00 - 02:30 Drive to Mt Ijen.

02:30 - 03:00 Begin the climb up Mt Ijen (it takes at least 1.5 to 2 hours).

03:30 - 05:00 Observe the Blue Flame and sulfur mining. (Once the sun rises, the blue flame is no longer visible, which is why the journey begins at midnight).

06:00 - 07:00 Descend from Mt Ijen.

08:00 Enjoy breakfast (the hotel provides a Breakfast Box).

09:00 - 18:00 Drive to Surabaya.

Embark on a 2-day journey to explore two stunning volcanoes!

Our driver and professional guide will collect you at 23.30 PM where you’ll begin your trip to the Bromo area in Probolinggo. If you’re leaving from Surabaya or Malang, anticipate a 3-hour travel time to reach the destination. The adventure continues with a Jeep ride (4 WD) over a rugged landscape to Mt. Penanjakan, the perfect location for witnessing a mesmerising Bromo sunrise. As the journey continues downhill, you’ll traverse an expansive sand sea created by the eruption of Mt. Bromo, via a 30-minute easy trail leading to the summit. The rim of the crater provides stunning views of the active Bromo crater, the caldera, Mt. Batok and Java Island’s tallest mountain, Mt. Semeru. A Hindu temple, a testament to the history of the Majapahit Kingdom, will also be visible. The next day, be prepared for a 1 am pickup from your hotel for a trek to Ijen Crater. This is your opportunity to see the Blue Fire phenomenon up close.
