Great day with Lee - We had a great day in Ine and Amanohashidate with Lee. Funny jokes, great communication before and during the tour, and excellent organisation on the day. Note for other travellers: the sake brewery in Ine closes between 12:00 and 13:00, so if you’d like to visit it, I would recommend going there first when you arrive in Ine.

Great trip but poor admin! - The trip was very enjoyable and the guide very professional. Thoroughly endorse this activity. However, the organisation of the meeting place was a disaster! No email was sent the night before advising the name of the guide and/or bus number plate. We were required tobapproac every tour guide and almost gave up. Poor administration!

Tour was great! The tour... - Tour was great! The tour offers a lot of free time for guests to explore, have lunch, take pictures which was the best. Lee was our tour guide and he explained every details you need to know. He also gave a lot of lunch recommendations in the area which saved us time looking around.

Fun time and day all... - Fun time and day all around, more driving than I anticipated but pretty scenic. In hindsight, bring a poncho if you’re going to be on the outdoor deck with the flock of seagulls. The tour guide and driver were great 🫡🫡

Wear Gloves to Feed the Birds - Hint: wear gloves when you feed the birds! Enjoyable day trip to see more of the Kyoto Prefecture. Ine is beautiful with a very traditional feel. Amanohashidate has a great view (especially the "traditional" way). Enjoyed the boat trip including feeding the birds which was an absolute highlight. Informative guide and great group of people.

Funaya in Ine, a town with a lot of scenery - The landscape of the funaya houses along the coast of Ine Bay has become famous as a tourist destination worldwide, and even though there were many large buses lined up, we seemed to be the only Japanese. We ate Funaya Shokudo on the second floor of the tourist information center with Funamori set meals recommended by the local community and boiled horse mackerel set meals. It was not a particularly moving taste, but the atmosphere at the fishing port was good. Unfortunately, it was too rainy to see the view from the sea side on a pleasure boat, but it is rare to see a structure that allows boats to enter the house from the coast, and it is spectacular to see 230 houses along Ine Bay. From the side of the road it is a normal house. We hope that it will continue to be preserved as a unique feature of Japan.
