Brilliant! - Our guide Cat was delightful! She genuinely loves sharing her knowledge about Scotland’s rich history and culture. We enjoyed a small group of 20 on our tour. We spent about an hour exploring Stirling Castle. And while driving through the Trossachs we visited the most adorable highland cows and had lunch at a wonderful cozy Inn. Despite the rainy weather, it was a cheerful and bright day out with Cat as our knowledgeable, attentive and kind guide.

Great tour! - Great tour! Andy, our driver and tour guide was wonderful and informative. He graciously answered all my husband’s numerous questions! The best part was feeding the “hairy coos”! He allowed us to take our time during the stops, and I didn’t feel rushed.

An Exceptional Guide and Unforgettable Experience! - I had an absolutely incredible experience with Catriona Stevenson! She was amazing in every way. She was kind, patient, and extremely knowledgeable. Her passion for what she does shines through in every detail she shares. She made the tour engaging and fun while ensuring we learned so much about the places we visited. She also went out of her way to make everyone feel comfortable and welcomed. I couldn’t have asked for a better guide and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for an unforgettable experience.

Great day out cheaper than cruise excursion - We used this company whilst our ship stopped in Scotland. We had a great days tour around Stirling castle and Loch Lomond. Our guide Barrie was hospitable, knowledgeable and a ton of fun. He arranged for us to stop and feed some Scottish hairy cows which we enjoyed immensely. Lunch was in a 400 year old pub stepped in history. A fantastic day and considerably cheaper than the cruise companies offered excursion.

Slainte Cruise Excursion: Stirling, Loch Lomond & Trossac - This was worth it since the Celebrity tour only did the castle. We were also impressed with the shops just outside the port where we found the only embroidered sweatshirts made by a local. Barry was our tour guide. He made the trip go by so fast. We all enjoyed his jokes and the pride he has for his country. We all could hear him quite well, even when the air conditioning was on. We don't know how he did it, but he even got the weather to cooperate and had the sun come out for us. Thank you for helping make today special. The bus driver also did a great job.

Great tour - beats cruise ship pricing - We really enjoyed the tour. striking castle is absolutely what you expect a castle to be. We had lunch at a old inn near the head of Loch Lomond. The burgers are very good. We were lucky enough to have perfect weather, even got by Scottish standards. Barry and Tony did a great job, even though we had various mechanical issues with the busses. Assuming this was just a fluke, I would recommend this tour as it is tremendous value for the money. Certainly a 5 star experience if they work out the bus issues.

Lots of unexpected changes and a bit disappointed in the itinerary changes that weren't told to us. - I can't fault everyone for this one. First, we couldn't find our tour guide. Our tour was supposed to leave at 9:30 and at 9:30 they still weren't there. Finally, just after 9:30, someone came over to us to let us know our tour guide had a family emergency and instead of cancelling, found one of our tour patrons to lead the way. This ended up working out just fine as she did a tremendous job. What we didn't like was that the tour said water/snacks would be provided, so we didn't bring any. Unfortunately, none were provided. Also, the itinerary was changed quite a bit and we didn't get to half the places we were supposed to, instead they were replaced with places we weren't thrilled with.

Skip the tour, go to Stirling Castle - Unfortunately this tour was a disappointment. I was not greeted by the tour guide at the scheduled time and waited on the street in the rain for some time before my tour guide invited me onto a dirty bus. I sat in a chair that had someone else's lunch trash from the day before. The beginning of the tour further proved to be a rocky start as his microphone did not work and he stood in front of guests talking loudly for all to hear. There was little narration, history, and other facts from the guide. The trip to Stirling Castle was amazing and the castle guide provided a wealth of information. It was engaging and very informative. The remainder of the day was spent on a bus with little interaction from the guide and no real guidance regarding where we were headed next or the time frame. After our lunch stop I waited with the other guests on the bus while our tour guide socialized off the bus. I spent the day wishing I could get off the bus and back to my ship. The tour was advertised as 6-8 hours and it was a solid 9 hours of disappointment. Do not waste your money. As a travel agent I will not recommend this to my guests!

A series of unfortunate events! - 1. It was very difficult to find the bus because no one was waiting with a sign as advertised, so we left late while waiting for everyone. 2. The tour guide was unable to do the tour which we totally understand as there was a medical emergency. The tour company did not have a back up, so they asked a guest to read the guide’s info on the sites. 3. We did not follow the tour as advertised, as the guest designated to take charge seemed to amend timings to suit her personal preferences. We spent quite a bit of time sitting on the bus waiting for people to return from various gift shops rather than abiding by the timings given to us before departing the bus. 4. We did not spend the full allotted time at Stirling Castle, which was the main stop that was advertised and our party was most looking forward to. We didn’t get to complete the outdoor tour and didn’t have time to go inside at all. 5. We didn’t go to the restaurant for lunch that was advertised. We were told it was an hour away from our location. Instead we got hot dogs from a food trailer. 6. Finally, we were never given the option of canceling and getting a refund when we found that there was no tour guide available for the day. We would have preferred to find private transportation to Stirling Castle on our own if we would have known what we were getting into.

Cancelled last minute and no refund - Like a number of the more recent reviews our early September tour was cancelled last minute, with no refund provided and the company stopped answering calls / emails within 48hrs. It made some precious time with my parents far more stressful than needed. Under no circumstances do I recommend booking with this company or Clyde Coast Tourism Ltd. We have finally got our money back through PayPal (a month later) but it’s been convoluted and difficult. Please send me a DM if you find yourself in the same situation, I will be taking this further and would like to hear from other customers in the same situation.
