After lunch, guests will enjoy a canoe ride with a knowledgeable native guide, familiar with all the local trails. This is an opportunity to observe the region’s typical flora and fauna and learn about the various uses the local people have for each plant.
Following dinner, as night falls, an exciting excursion begins. Guests will be guided on a walk or canoe trip through the mysterious jungle to observe tarantulas, cicadas, spiders, and praying mantises. They will also hear the songs of owls and “ayaymamas,” along with other nocturnal animal sounds.

Dolphin Watching
Amazon River - At dawn, around 4:30 am, an excursion will allow guests to enjoy the sunrise in this unique and breathtaking landscape. This morning walk offers the chance to observe and learn about the area’s typical birds in all their glory.
The excursion continues with a visit to the Indigenous community of “Yaguas,” one of the 23 indigenous communities in the Amazon. At the Reserve of free animals, guests will find monkeys eager for interaction and attention.
After lunch, there will be an opportunity for Piranha fishing, practicing traditional methods used by indigenous communities or using modern equipment for enjoyable sport fishing. Guests can also swim in the Amazon River.
Observation of pink and grey dolphins will be a highlight, allowing guests to fully appreciate and enjoy their elegance throughout the Amazon River.

Amazon River - Breakfast at the lodge is served around 8:00 am.
The adventure continues with a full-day jungle exploration. Guests will sail along the Amazon River to one of its branches, visiting the town of San Juan de Huachalado. Here, they will meet locals and explore diverse flora and fauna up to the Yanayacu River, known for its black water. The day will be spent exploring, fishing, sailing, and hiking, with sights including the famous giant Lupuma tree and Tarzan lianas. The guide will provide lunch.
Lunch will be enjoyed at a villager’s home or as a camping-style meal in the jungle.
A visit to the Trapiche in San Juan de Huachalado will offer insights into making and tasting the region’s typical alcoholic beverages.
Return to the Lodge for dinner.
Amazon Lodge – Return to Iquitos
Amazon River - Breakfast at the Lodge is followed by a jungle trek to explore the “La Ceiba de la Selva” tree, known by the Indians as Huimba. This tree is nearly 500 years old, standing at an impressive height of up to 160 feet and 10 feet in diameter.
Check-out is at 12:30 pm, with lunch at 1:00 pm at the Lodge.
Guests will be transferred at 2:30 pm, navigating the Amazon River for approximately 1 hour, returning to the airport. Arrival in Iquitos is expected around 4:00 pm.
