Iquitos - Depart from the Maniti Expeditions office in Iquitos city at 9:00 am to reach the port town of Nanay (Bellavista), where the Rio Nanay converges with the Rio Amazonas. Embark on a boat journey downriver for 70km (approximately 2 hours). During this riverboat trip, there is a wonderful chance to spot caimans, turtles, herons, pink river dolphins, snakes, and a variety of other flora and fauna along the riverbank.

Iquitos - Monkey Island is a small island located about 15 minutes from the Maniti Lodge, home to a large number of monkeys in their natural environment. During the visit, there is a unique opportunity to observe a wide variety of monkeys, including the Sloth, Goeldi’s monkey, Tamarin monkey, Capuchin monkey, Yellow-Handed Titi monkey, Masked Titi monkey, Cebidae monkey, Wooly monkey, Squirrel monkey, Spider monkey, South American Coati monkey, and many more! In addition to the diverse monkey species, there is a chance to see large Anacondas, Boas, and the rare Amazonian mata-mata turtle. At Monkey Island, alligators, turtles, toucans, macaws, parrots, and more can also be seen.

Iquitos - Enjoy a dolphin watching session at the camp, offering a unique opportunity to see the pink freshwater dolphin. With some luck, there might also be a chance to swim with them in the main Amazon River. In the evening, embark on a nocturnal nature hike to discover various species such as lizards, snakes, spiders, and monkeys.
