Ruaha National Park - Upon arrival at the Airport (DAR), proceed to Ruaha National Park. Departing from Dar, the journey includes a stop at the Kitonga Hotel for lunch. Afterward, continue towards Ruaha National Park. As you travel, you will leave behind Dar and the humid, low-lying coastal region. The highway traverses the hills of the coastal hinterland before descending onto scrub-covered plains. Along the roadside, you will notice tall termite mounds and local Maasai tribespeople selling beaded necklaces and belts. The route passes through the Sisal plantations in Morogoro, offering views of the stunning Uluguru Mountains rising above the plains and the town of Morogoro. The highway then cuts through Mikumi National Park, providing an opportunity to observe wildlife along the road. After Mikumi, the road ascends the Kitonga hills, part of the Udzungwa Mountains. Follow the Great Ruaha River, climb the Great Rift Escarpment, pass through Iringa town, and turn left towards Ruaha National Park.

Mikumi National Park - After breakfast, drive to Mikumi National Park with a packed lunch. The route follows the Great Ruaha River and the Great Rift Escarpment past Iringa town, then ascends the Kitonga hills, part of the Udzungwa Mountains, leading to Mikumi National Park.

Mikumi National Park - After breakfast, enjoy a full day game drive in Mikumi National Park. Expect to see herds of elephants, lions, and antelopes, among others.

Mikumi National Park - Dar es Salaam

Dar es Salaam - After breakfast, depart Mikumi National Park around 10:00 am, with lunch en route, as you return to Dar es Salaam. Proceed directly to Dar es Salaam Airport to connect with your onward evening flight. This marks the conclusion of the tour for now.
