Renovated in 1802 by an Aeginean, it hosted Greek freedom fighters and politicians during the 1821 revolution. From 1826, it accommodated the Temporary Government, the Deputy Committee (1827), the National Fund, and the Government House, and during Kapodistrias’ administration, it housed various ministers.
