Flight to Cappadocia and North Cappadocia Day Tour

Istanbul - The driver will be ready at the Istanbul hotel to transfer guests to the airport for the flight to Cappadocia. Airport transfers are available from many hotels in Istanbul. Hotel pick-up times range from 4:15 am to 6:30 am, depending on the flight schedule. Upon arrival in Cappadocia, guests will be welcomed at Kayseri or Nevsehir airport and transferred to Cappadocia. The tour guide will meet guests for the day tour after the airport transfer. (Hotel check-in will occur at the end of the tour.)

Uchisar Castle - The first stop is the breathtaking viewpoint of Uchisar Castle, where guests will learn about Cappadocia’s rich history and unique rock formations. (Panorama only)

Goreme Open-Air Museum - The second stop is the Goreme Open-Air Museum, recognized as one of the earliest monasteries in Christian history. This rock-cut settlement, which served as an educational center for spreading Christianity, has been on the UNESCO World Heritage list since 1985, featuring frescoed churches and rock dwellings.

Avanos - The third stop is Avanos, one of Cappadocia’s oldest settlements. The art of pottery, which began during the Hittite period, continues today with numerous workshops. This visit includes lunch and a brief tour along the Kızılırmak (Red River).

Fairy Chimneys - The fourth stop is Pasabag, renowned for its distinctive landforms. It is the ideal location to observe the harmonious coexistence of humans and nature. Pasabag, also known as Monks Valley, offers the opportunity to see the famous mushroom-shaped fairy chimneys and St. Simeon’s monk cell carved into the rock.

Devrent Valley - The fifth stop is Devrent Valley, also known as Imagination Valley, where guests can capture stunning photos of animal-shaped rock formations.

Ortahisar - The sixth stop highlights the importance of weaving in Turkish culture. This tradition from Central Asia continues in Cappadocia. A brief visit to a cooperative where world-famous Turkish carpets are produced will provide insight into this ancient art form.

Urgup - At the conclusion of the tour, the guide will escort guests to their hotel.

Goreme Panorama - The Goreme panorama offers stunning views of the picturesque village of Goreme.

Red Valley - The second stop is Red Valley, known for its striking red hue in the heart of Cappadocia. The valley is ideal for walking, with a hiking route approximately 4 km long. During this nature walk, guests will encounter fairy chimneys, local farms, pigeon houses, and cave chapels. The hike concludes at Cavusin Old Greek Village, where the different color layers from ancient volcanic eruptions are visible.

Love Valley - The third stop is Love Valley, one of Cappadocia’s most famous and photographed areas. It is renowned for its unique earth formations, resembling a natural photography studio.

Goreme - The fourth stop includes a visit to Goreme village for a lunch break, followed by time for photos and a short walk.

Kaymakli Underground City - The fifth stop is Kaymakli Underground City, the largest and most visited underground city in Cappadocia. Guests will feel transported to the Stone Age.

Pigeon Valley - The sixth stop is Pigeon Valley, a significant site in Cappadocia. Pigeons have been vital to the region, used in agriculture and church decoration. The use of pigeon eggs for frescoes revolutionized both human and pigeon lives. Large rock-carved pigeon houses were built, fostering a shared existence. Although fresco artists are no longer present, this symbiotic relationship endures.

Urgup - At the end of the tour, the guide will return guests to their hotel.

• Hot air balloon flights require optimal weather conditions and may be canceled at any time by the Civil Aviation Authority. Such decisions are made for safety reasons and are final.
