Beautiful tour despite the rain - Despite the rain our guide Erol made this a really enjoyable experience. He is so knowledgeable, engaging and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of the Galata tower and surroundings (with many gorgeous photos) and then our journey to Balat and Fener. The churches are stunning and it was particularly beautiful to see the architecture, interior decor and many relics. The neighbourhoods of Balat and Fener are very charming with their colourful houses. We stopped for tea and cookies in a local cafe recommended by Erol. Erol was a super guide and I would highly recommend this tour.

Excellent tour guide & expansive tour - Erol was an outstanding guide and we can’t remember a tour that has been this thorough, interesting & in depth. We learned a lot about the Turkish culture & customs but it would’ve been impossible to cover that much territory without his expertise guidance. It was the perfect way to spend our final day in Istanbul, but if you book it, be prepared to walk for most of the time and this one tour will be sufficient for the day!

Excellent exploration of Fener-Balat and the Galata area - Excellent introduction to some local neighborhoods. Views from Galata tower excellent. Our guide, Hüseyin was knowledgeable and friendly offering excellent commentary and insights. Walking the neighborhood and understanding it was formerly Jewish was interesting. Crossing the golden Horn on foot by bridge to the Fener-Balat area was fantastic. Stopping for tea at a local shop in a small street, seeing the oldest mosque in Istanbul (built by Arabs in 715 AD in Galata) and the Orthodox patriarchal church was fascinating. A quick bite at a local stop and the ferry ride topped off a delightful trip. Highly recommend

Fantastic view - The tower dominates Istanbul, already stands in an elevated area and from its summit, easily accessible, you make 6 floors by elevator and the last 2 with comfortable stairs, offers a 360-degree view of the Golden Horn, the Bosphorus and the Dardanelles Strait various mighty mosques and all that beautiful Istanbul offers. Don't be scared by the queue is fast enough, I bought the skip the line ticket online.

For a 360° panorama of the city - We did not use the skip the line, but we made the ticket directly on the spot because we went at lunchtime, since the Guide recommends going precisely at a less crowded time. We have only waited half an hour when you risk waiting even two. The place is impressive especially for the 360° panoramic view of Istanbul, the golden horn and the bosphorus. You go up in the elevator, you go down with stairs a bit 'quick and low ceiling but characteristic. From there by taxi we moved to the picturesque colorful street and colorful umbrella street. Mostly of the tourist places, the most characteristic thing is beautiful are the many cats

Galata Tower with semi-con ticket office - Tower with wonderful view with visit to be planned at sunset. The only recommendation is to pay attention to what a ticket office offers. They sell you unsolicited headphones x hear Audio Guide (not required). They show you the price in euros and charge you in Turkish lira with the above surcharge. For an official site I'd say it's a half-con against tourists
