Excellent experience for both food and city knowledge - It was a great experience with Bahri for the evening tour and we learned so much about the food history and also the history of the city and locations we walked through.
Great variety of food and drinks and options to have more or less if you are hungry. But it was a great experience and I high recommend to everyone. Very worth the money.

Delicious fun snd informative - Tunç went above and beyond to give us a great tour. Lots of interesting cuisine with great historical context. Delicious, fun and informative all in one!

Make this one of the first tours you do in Istanbul. - Amazing experience with a wonderful guide. My only regret is that I didn’t do this the first or second day so that I could have eaten the amazing and reasonably priced food on offer in Istanbul instead of only eating at “tourist” restaurants which were on the whole not great food. The tour took us to the places where the locals eat and the food was fantastic. Go hungry and if you are like me - maybe only eat half the food at the first couple of places because the food got better and better. I was stuffed and could only take 1-2 bites of some really delicious food by the end. The money you spend on this tour will be more than made up by the amount of money you save eating around Istanbul the rest of your holiday if you do this trip early in your stay! Would recommend 100%!

A great way to spend an evening in Istanbul! - Go hungry! Lots of diverse food and drink. Knowledge guide. Helped us catch up to the tour when we got stuck in traffic crossing bridge from Old Town.

Walking Food and Culture Tour - Bahri was our guide for an exceptional food tour. It was street food, and everything was delicious. We walked thru several neighborhoods (wear walking shoes and up for a 3 hour walk!), and Bahri gave us great food, yes, but the tour was ultimately a cultural one. He was fun and knowledgeable and our group of 10 had a great time.

Fantastic food and a nice look into Taksim and Karaköy - This tour got recommend to me by a friend, and now I'm recommending it to everyone! The food was delicious, and it was nice to walk around in these more local-oriented neighborhoods. Drinks are included, so no need to stress about bringing your own water. And of course, the tour leaves you with a lot more knowledge about where and what to eat in Istanbul, so I'd recommend doing it at the start of your visit here

Amazing! Fun, informative and delicious!! - Excellent food choices and diverse diet more than just a food tour. Our guide, Bahri, provided fun and informative facts about the Istanbul as we walked from restaurant to restaurant as well as showed us where to go eat and hang out and not be such a tourist. Also, our guide was very friendly, knowledgeable and seemed genuinely just as interested about my wife and I and where we came from as we were about Istanbul. I highly recommend this trip and our guide—-what a wonderful person.

Mixed Experience — Great Guide, But Underwhelming Food Selection - I’m torn about this experience my wife and I did in July 2025. I’ve done many food tours across Europe, and unfortunately, this one ranked the lowest for me. While our guide, Tunc, was excellent—knowledgeable, passionate, and clearly invested in sharing Turkish culture—the overall value of the tour didn’t quite match the price.
We visited six stops in total, and most of the food was inexpensive street fare. While some of it was tasty, none of it really showcased the richness or variety of Turkish cuisine in a memorable way. I left feeling like I’d missed out on the depth and quality I’ve experienced on other tours.
Much of the walking was through crowded, touristy streets where we were frequently approached (sometimes aggressively) by restaurant staff trying to pull us in. This made it hard to relax and enjoy the experience between food stops.
In short: Tunc made the best of the tour, and I appreciated his enthusiasm. But if you’re looking for a deep dive into the best of Turkish food, this tour didn’t deliver that for me—especially given the cost.
