It is one of the few churches in Istanbul that has not been converted into a mosque. Currently, Hagia Irene functions as a museum and concert hall.
• Caferaga Medresesi - The Caferağa Medresseh is a former medrese located in Istanbul, Turkey, adjacent to the Hagia Sophia. It was constructed in 1559 by Mimar Sinan under the orders of Cafer Ağa, during the reign of Sultan Süleyman the Magnificent.
• Sogukcesme Sokak - Soğukçeşme Sokağı is a quaint street with historic houses in the Sultanahmet neighborhood of Istanbul, Turkey, nestled between the Hagia Sophia and Topkapı Palace. This pedestrian-only street is named after the fountain located at its end near Gülhane Park.
