- Hagia Sophia Mosque - Hagia Sophia stands as the city’s most extraordinary historical landmark. While there are numerous legends associated with it, a brief overview of the temple’s history will be provided, followed by detailed stories.
The entrance fee is 25 Euros and is not included in the tour price. If interested in visiting, please inform the Operator in advance to secure tickets and avoid queues. Payment for tickets will be made in cash upon meeting.
- Sultanahmet Square - This square served as the central square for both the Roman and Ottoman Empires and remains highly significant. The Operator will narrate its history from Constantine the Great to the present day. A terrace visit will offer photo opportunities and a general discussion about the area’s history.
- Blue Mosque - Visitors will explore the Blue Mosque, admire its stunning tiles, and learn about its history.
- Hippodrome - Standing on the historic Hippodrome site, the Operator will showcase its remnants and share intriguing stories about past events in the area.
- Cemberlitas Sutunu - On the Avenue of Constantine the Great, the significance of the column and the fate of the statue atop it will be discussed.
- Kapali Carsi - A marketplace with 4,000 stores and nearly 600 years of history, it is one of Istanbul’s most notable locations.
Visitors have a choice. If planning to shop at the Grand Bazaar, the Operator, an expert guide on the bazaar (with a separate tour focused on shopping there), will assist with shopping, concluding the tour afterward. Typically, the shortest shopping experience takes 2 hours.
For those not interested in shopping, the tour will continue to other destinations.
However, if shopping is desired, please inform the Operator in advance to create a personalized route through the bazaar. The Operator will recommend excellent stores with high-quality goods and assist with bargaining.
(Most guides do not bargain and simply leave visitors at random stores, waiting outside. The Operator acts more like a personal shopper.)
- Beyazit Square - If opting not to shop and continue the tour, visitors will see one of the Roman Empire’s main squares, now home to Istanbul University. The history of the area will be discussed, and many cats can be seen on the premises.
- Suleymaniye Mosque - Known as the Balcony of Istanbul, it is one of the city’s most significant and scenic Imperial Mosques. The tour will conclude here, offering a chance to relax and enjoy the beautiful view, provided shopping in the bazaar is not chosen.
