Amazing tour of Istanbul - We had the most amazing tour with Emel! She is the best guide we have ever had in all of our travels around the world. She was friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. She had great recommendations for places to eat and shop. She was flexible in terms of what we wanted to see and do. I would 100% recommend her as a tour guide for exploring Istanbul!

A great tour guide makes for a great tour - This was the BEST tour my husband and I have ever taken due to our terrific tour guide, Emel. While this was booked as a 6-hour, full-day tour, Emel, without complaint, turned it into a 10-hour tour to accommodate our interests in the many sites we visited, particularly when we spent many hours at Topkapi Palace. Emel speaks fluent English and her knowledge of Turkish history was incredible. After visiting many sites such as the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and Basilica Cistern, we had the best Turkish meal at Emel’s favorite restaurant, Galeyan (not to be missed). We then went shopping around and inside of the Grand Bazaar. As with others with whom we came in contact, it seemed many in the tourist industry knew Emel and she them. These affiliations made for opportunities we would not have ordinarily had, such as seeing a pottery-making demonstration (and meeting the potter, one of whose unbelievable creations we purchased). By the end of our long day, Emel was a friend and we will miss her. I could not recommend this tour enough and the reason is Emel. Truly, I would take any tour, to any place in Turkey, if Emel was my tour guide.

Kemal The Mayor of Istanbul 😊 - We had the most incredible day with Kemal, he didn’t just give us facts and dates as well as little hidden gems; he told us stories that brought Istanbul to life. His passion is contagious, and his sense of humor kept us engaged the entire time. Kemal’s knowledge of all the sites we visited was truly inspiring and impressive. We were here to catch a cruise ship tour and our experience of Istanbul has become the highlight of our trip thanks to him. It felt less like a formal tour and more like exploring the city with a very knowledgeable friend. Highly recommended!

An unforgettable experience! - If you are short on time but want to experience Istanbul, Emel is the guide for you. Her knowledge of the city and its big attractions - dates, art, political landscape, geography - is simply mind blowing. You are whisked from place to place yet always have time to absorb and learn. Her lunch recommendation was also outstanding. I had an amazing day!

Istanbul highlights with Ekran - Our guide was Erkan and he was great! He gave us a walking tour and explained Turkish culture. We went to a delicious restaurant to try local Food and later to try Turkish delish and Baklava. All the attention from Ekran was awsome and we learned a lot.

Great tour of Istanbul - Our guide, Sabit, was wonderful. He was very friendly/knowledgeable about the area, history, as well as the similarities/differences between Islam & Christianity. He recognized that our questions came from a desire to learn, not judgement. I felt very comfortable asking questions to help educate myself more without fearing my questions would be misunderstood as rude or disrespectful. Because it was a full day tour, Sabit allowed us to really decide what we wanted to see. Since we had already seen a few locations on our own, he gave us recommendations on what else could be seen in the amount of time we had & help us prioritize some sites over others (for example, we skipped Topkapi Palace, because we had already been to Dolmabahçe. Sabit shared that we had already seen the better of the two locations & suggested that maybe would prefer something else instead of Topkapi.) Sabit also took us to a wonderful lunch spot, away from the tourists spots, and the food was delicious, felt authentic, and not overpriced unlike many restaurants that target tourists. He seemed to know people at every location we went & I think that helped us get through a few of the queues a little more quickly.
