Best food tour ever! - Our family highly recommends this food tour from this company. Ali is one of the friendliest, knowledgeable, and approachable tour guide that we’ve ever had. He was easy to talk to and he does well with kids. I appreciated how he was protective of our daughter when walking and crossing the streets as if he was worried about his own kid. We were able to speak with him about almost any topic and learned a lot about Türkiye just from chatting. Food pictures are attached to this review. As you can see, we went to so many different places and tried a lot of different foods! Loved the diverse types of Turkish dishes. He’s also able to accommodate to food preferences and allergies. We liked how he provided the local perspective on bargaining, purchasing, and being aware of scams. I’ve been to a few food tours in different places and countries, but this felt very personalized and special. (Oh and he was also able to accommodate to our meeting point because we were traveling by public transportation and made sure we got back safely too.) Thanks so much for a wonderful time, Ali!

Very informative ‐ a good start to our visit - Having never visited Istanbul it was a great way of learning the type of food available and a quick tour of the main areas. Our guide was keen that we should try a variety of food and I must say we did not need to eat again that evening! My favourite part of the tour was walking around the food court selling olives, cheese, and on the comb honey. It was quiet, and so the seller patiently answered my questions and encouraged us to try the olives and sun dried tomatoes. We spent a good 4 hours on the tour and I definitely would recommend taking this tour especially within the first couple of days in Istanbul.

We chose this tour... - We chose this tour because we were interested in seeing the differences between the two continents of the city. Definitely did not regret it. Walked through the spice market and tasted several teas, spices and Turkish delights. And we bought a few. Then We continued to frolic around the city and tasted so many different types of food and drinks. I was stuffed by the time we made it to the ferry to go across to the Asian side but I walked it off lol. I loved that we were shown restaurants off the beaten path instead of tourist spots. The food choices and combinations were definitely things I wouldn't have considered on my own. I also appreciate the historical lessons and experiences we also had while on the tour. Definitely worth it.

Great experience - Off the beaten track, we were able to experience one taste experience after another at many different stations under expert explanation and thus, through many explanations and stories, get to know the country and people better. Thank you for this to our very nice and professional guide.

Great food tour - We booked this tour with this company which was fantastic. The food of Asia and Europe. tour really appealed... Our guide was so good to us. He was superb.....really knowledgeable and engaging. Do not eat anything ( breakfast) before you go on this tour....there is so much to eat!! We started with some pastry near spicy market then moved over to Asia ..to Kadikoy. Over there we had picked veggies and it's juice, a type of pizza called Lahmacun....then stuffed mussels, then a type of wrapped chicken in tiny lavash with yogurt and tomato sauce on top of it, then had some white rice with cheakpeas followed by. Then headed back to the European side by ferry, had some fish sandwich and then of course dessert with some tea. ( we loved Turkish desserts ) The vibe on Kadikoy is quite different to the Old Town in Istanbul. Absolutely great experience....very few tourists over in Kadikoy....very much would recommend this tour.
