ES was great, guidebook... - ES was great, guide spoke great German and ES was specifically addressed to our wishes. He also knew his history well. We were picked up at the port and brought back again!

Awesome tour with an awesome guide. - This was an awesome tour of some of the key sites in Istanbul. Although the sites you see are only the tip of the iceberg, my tour was great. My guide was able to answer all of my questions and the conversations we had were great. It wasn't just a tour of the sites but also a long and deep conversation about the history of the sites and the region. I have rarely enjoyed a tour as much as I did this one. If you have the chance and a few hours in Istanbul, THIS IS THE TOUR.

Istanbul private walking tour - Our tour guide Erbil did a great job explaining to us all the sites of Istanbul. We went into the Hagia Sophia- women bring a scarve or something to cover your heads. Remember no shorts when visiting mosque too. I purchased one before I entered, it’s a beautiful keepsake. The Blue Mosque line was about 45-60 minutes so we opted not to wait. We just took pictures outside. One place I didn’t expect but so glad we went to was the Basilica Cistern - old water way under the city- wow so beautiful and cool ! We went to the Grand Bazaar and it was so overwhelming- so many shops and you can buy so many various things. You could easily spend a day there and you will not even see all the shops. Throughly enjoyed this city and country.

Wonderful way to view the old city! - Great way to hit the highlights of the old city. J. was well informed and made the tour interesting. He welcomed questions and shared his enthusiasm of Turkish history. My 17 y/o daughter declared J. the best tour guide we encountered during nearly 3 weeks of travel!

Excellent guided tour - Our tour guide was excellent! His knowledge and expertise was perfect, as he gave us a really fun & interesting tour! My favorite was his recommendation for lunch, where we went off the tourist-beaten path to get a genuine Istanbul lunch. The views & history of Istanbul was fascinating!

Our guide made all the difference! - We had a fantastic experience visiting Istanbul. Our tour guide made all the difference. He not only showed us the sites he explained the history and the people and helped us to really understand all that we were seeing. He took us for an incredible lunch where locals ate, not a tourist spot at all. It was really the highlight of the day. We cannot recommend him and booking through Viator strongly enough. Thank you!

Wonderful 4 hour tour of Istanbul with Hasan - My husband, 17 year old son and I had an absolutely wonderful tour with our guide, Hasan Ege last week in Istanbul. Hasan picked us up right at the cruise terminal and we immediately were off to see the sites. We saw the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sofia, as well as the Bazaar. We asked Hasan to take us for some kebaps and Turkish coffee. He chose absolutely wonderful spots and was just all around a fun and informative guide. We were interested in buying a few specific things at the Bazaar and he took us to friendly shops where he knew the merchants and merchandise were great. We even were offered tea at one of the stops by his friends. All in all a great tour.

Amazing tour - This was one of the best tours we have ever done! Celal is a great guide. We highly recommend this! Because my husband was in a wheelchair, we were able to go into an area of the Hagia Sophia that we wouldn't have.

Okay - Our guide was "Jay". There was a cultural disconnect between us as female travelers with a Muslim guide.
