- The Diolkos - After enjoying the breathtaking view of the canal, the journey continues towards ancient Corinth, stopping at the west entrance of the canal to see the renowned Diolkos, constructed around the 6th century BC. This ancient paved trackway was used to transport ships from one body of water to another, showcasing the ingenuity of ancient Greek technology.
- Archaia Korinthos - The ancient city of Corinth is historically significant in Greek history due to its strategic location, thriving trade, and influential culture. Positioned between the Ionian Sea and the Aegean Sea, Corinth controlled the narrow Isthmus, a crucial trade route linking the Mediterranean and the Black Sea, and was the founding site of the Isthmian Games. It had a strong military presence, serving as a strategic location in many wars throughout its ancient history, and experienced various political changes, alternating between periods of independence, Spartan control, and domination by other regional powers. Even after a period of decline during the Roman Conquest, it retained its cultural significance until undergoing a major urban renewal project initiated by Julius Caesar and later completed by Emperor Augustus. The city was rebuilt in a Roman architectural style, featuring temples, basilicas, and a forum, becoming the capital of the Roman province of Achaea and a vibrant cosmopolitan center.
- Acrocorinth - Now the largest castle in southern Greece, the Acropolis of Corinth is a formidable fortress situated 700 meters above sea level, offering stunning views of the Corinthian and Saronic Gulfs, which are connected by the canal.
- Ancient Corinth (Archaia Korinthos) - Enjoy a delightful Greek lunch in the tranquil village of Ancient Corinth at a traditional family taverna, followed by a drive back to Athens.
