• Contrada Colamaio, 1 - Join us for an evening walk with alpacas from 19:00 to 20:00 at the renowned Costa Degli Dei in Pizzo VV. You’ll learn to communicate with your alpaca, take selfies, and enjoy photo shoots and small videos. The scenic coastline of Pizzo, with views of the Stromboli Volcano on clear days, serves as a stunning backdrop. Watch the alpacas cool off in the sea. Please wear appropriate footwear for the beach and possibly the water. This experience is open to anyone capable of walking along the beach, but handling an alpaca is required, so it’s not recommended for those with a fear of alpacas. Accessible walks can be arranged with prior booking.

Calabrian Alpacas were the first alpacas in Calabria, raised on a small farm where they are heavily socialised and accustomed to human contact. As a result, they are very inquisitive and gentle with children. The backdrop to the walks is a mature pine forest that opens onto the beach at Colomaio 1, with the town of Pizzo in the distance. The mountainous scenery is also magnificent, especially at sunset. The alpaca handled during the walk will form a bond along the way, allowing for interactive videos and selfies on the beach to remember the experience forever and share it with family and friends back home.
