Concert+”Dinner” in a beautiful setting. Worth the price! - The 5 players who started the concert were excellent, yet seemed a tad confused. The concert started late, they exited after the first number. They played an hour, and then were then joined by a cello player who arrived in jeans, hiking boots, and was a bit disheveled. I’m guessing he got the start time wrong. I heartily applaud the other players for regrouping so quickly and playing beautifully until he arrived. What professionals! The first violinist got the showy parts, which he executed well, and the rest of the team was equally good in their supporting roles. Apericena in the Tea Garden was delightful. What we in the States would call “Heavy Appetizers” which means “enough for dinner”. Beautifully presented, freshly prepared. Best ravioli we’d had in Italy so far! The chef was willing to accommodate special dietary requests ie gluten free. Yes, perhaps on the pricy side, but a memorable night out: Beautiful venue with good acoustics; professional players; a savory buffet with generous wine- All in all a lovely Florentine evening for us.
